The year is winding down to a close and 2025 is fast approaching but there has been plenty of sporting action for punters to get their teeth into away from the festive feasts, and as always in our daily betting blog we run through the big spread betting winners from the weekend!

Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.

EXETER v CRAWLEY - TOTAL GOAL MINUTES (SETTLED AT 406)

We start with the football action and although there was plenty of Premier League and Championship action, it was in League One where punters found massive profit in the match between Exeter and Crawley.

After a torrid opening half where the hosts found themselves trailing 4-1 and for all intents and purposes out of the match, the second half produced a highly unlikely comeback, sparked by what looked like a consolation on the hour mark. However, two more goals in the final ten minutes saw the extraordinary final score of 4-4.

In terms of spread betting, buying punters managed to score significant wins on our Total Goal Minutes market. With the market starting with an opening spread of 129 - 139, a final make-up of 406 saw buyers win 267x their opening stake!

For those of you who need a tune up on our football spread betting markets, we have a handy guide for punters.

TAYLOR FRITZ v FELIX AUGER-ALIASSIME: FRI/AUG MATCH SUPREMACY (SETTLED AT -15)

In the tennis betting action, the 2025 season is already underway as the lead-up to the first Grand Slam of the year in mid-January is already apace, and several top players are competing in the United Cup team tournament. One of the early match-ups was USA v Canada, which saw Taylor Fritz take on Felix Auger-Aliassime.

After a highly impressive 2024 season in which he reached his first Grand Slam final, Fritz seemed to be in very strong form early on in this one as he controlled the early goings with Aliassime, who - albeit still young - has struggled badly of late to make significant inroads at the top of the game after showcasing massive talent and potential.

With Fritz seemingly in full control and on the verge of a comfortable win, and having not crafted even a break point all match, Aliassime suddenly came alive at 4-6 4-5 down and Fritz serving for the match, and the Canadian found another gear to score an incredible turnaround to win 4-6 7-5 6-3.

For tennis spread bettors who backed the 23 year-old, deciding to place a sell bet on our Fritz/Aliassime Match Supremacy market proved to be a profitable choice. Sellers returned an Ace 24x return on their initial wager from a pre-match spread of 9 - 12 after a settlement of -15.

DARTS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: LUKE HUMPHRIES v PETER WRIGHT - WRIGHT 25-0 (SETTLED AT 25)

Finally, we round off on the Darts action from Ally Pally as there was a massive shock with the elimination of defending champion Luke Humphries as he was taken down by the 'Snake Bite' Scotsman Peter Wright, and with a comfortable 4-1 scoreline to boot.

While Wright benefitted from a relative off-night for Humphries and was more steady than spectacular, the two-time champion was extremely solid on his doubles and could well contend for a third crown if he continues his vein of form.

For darts punters who backed Wright to win on our Wright 25-0 spread market, tidy profit was to be made with a settlement of 25 from a starting spread of just 1.5 - 3, meaning a return of 23x stake on buy bets!

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
