Daily Spread Betting Round-up

Weekend's Big Winning Bets

landing-page-weekend-071024

There was plenty of online betting action over the weekend with high class horse racing at home and abroad, the Premier League throwing up a cracking round of matches and the usual thrills and spills from elsewhere. We have waited for the dust to settle on a busy couple of days to see where our trading team got it wrong and our canny punters made a pretty penny.

WIGAN WARRIORS v LEIGH LEOPARDS – MATCH CROSS-POINTS (SETTLED AT 0)

Wigan Warriors booked their place in the Grand Final at the weekend with a comprehensive win over local rivals Leigh Leopards at the Brick Community Stadium on Saturday evening.

Leigh – with over 4,000 fans travelling to Wigan – were arguably the form team of the competition, but they were picked apart by the relentless winning machine who will face Hull KR at Old Trafford next weekend.

Leading 18-0 at the break, Matt Peet’s Warriors piled on the tries with Bevan French scoring a sensational solo effort as the Cherry and Whites ran out 38-0 winners.

It was a good night for those who had sold on the Cross-Points market at 237-262 as with Leigh failing to trouble the scoreboard the market, the spread settled at zero ensuring a maximum win of 237x their stake.

PRIX DE L’ARC DE TRIOMPHE – BLUESTOCKING 100-60-30-20-10-5 (SETTLED AT 100)

One of the biggest flat racing meetings of the year took place over the weekend as the world’s equine superstars descended on Paris for two days of action.

The highlight of the weekend took place yesterday as 16 runners went to post at Longchamp, with the winner of the race set to land just under £2.5m in prize money. Andre Fabre’s Sosie was sent off a 10/3 home favourite, but for the fourth time in eight years, it would be a British combination taking home the spoils.

Sent off with a spread of 28-31 on our expanded 100-60-30-20-10-5, Bluestocking was given a good chance in the market and he duly delivered for Rossa Ryan and Ralph Beckett, winning by just over a length. For buyers on the spread, that meant the market settled at 100 as they won 69x their stake.

BRENTFORD v WOLVES – 1st MATCH GOAL (SETTLED AT 2)

Having scored in the opening minute of their previous three Premier League clashes, Brentford kept their home fans waiting longer than normal as Nathan Collins nodded home in the second minute against his former side.

That sparked off what turned out to be a crazy game as Brentford prevailed 5-3 in the West London sunshine with six of the eight goals coming in the first half.

For those punters who continue to sell the First Brentford Goal Minute spread, there was yet again more profit to be made. With a spread of 45.5-48.5 before kick off, the spread settling at two meant those sellers won 43.5x their stake.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
