Daily Spread Betting Round-up
Liverpool go top, Leeds embarrass Newcastle, and Everton return to the top 5 – but how much money did football spread betting punters win? It’s the Daily Sports Spread Betting Roundup! What are the odds on Liverpool retaining the title? For weeks no team has been able to seize the advantage in the title race. That changed on Wednesday, as Liverpool stole all 3 points against Tottenham in the dying moments of the game. Mohamed Salah put the hosts in front in the 26th minute, though that required spread betters to sell his PGM spread of 30-33 to make 4 times their initial stake. That lead didn’t last for long, however, as Son Heung-min drew level with Salah (and Dominic Calvert-Lewin) on 11 goals this season in the 33rd minute. Back the South Korean star at a PGM spread of just 15-18, and that’s 15 times your opening bet. From then on neither side could break through – that is until the 90th minute, as Roberto Firmino headed in the winner via an Andrew Robertson corner. Buy the Brazilian at a Headed PGM spread of 1-3, and you walked away with 87 times your starting wager. Following City’s draw with West Brom, Liverpool have gained the upper hand title-wise. Spreadex has them at a Season Points spread of 80-81.5, a binary Win Title spread of 40.8-46.6, and at fixed odds of 23/20. And where will Tottenham finish in 2020/21? A Season Points spread of 69.5-71 would suggest 4th; a fixed odds price of 6/1, however, would suggest 3rd. Will Leeds finish in the top half of the table? In, surprisingly, the highest scoring game of the evening, Leeds bagged 3 goals in the final 13 minutes to hammer Newcastle 5-2. Great for anyone buying a Total Goals spread of 3.1-3.3 – they made 3.7 times their initial bet. It was even better for those backing a Total Goal Minutes spread of 157-167 – a makeup of 437 left them with 270 times their opening stake. No player scored more than one goal at Elland Road. However, there were 4 headers, resulting in a massive Headed SMMs makeup of 429. Buy at a starting price of 45-52, and you netted yourself 377 times your original wager. The Whites now sit in 13th place, 3 points adrift of the top half of the table. A Season Points spread of 49-50.5 would leave them in the bottom half, stuck in 13th. What are the odds on Everton finishing in the top 4?Preventing Leicester from (briefly) going top, Everton continued their return to form, following up their victory over Chelsea with a 2-0 win on Wednesday. If you sold a Leicester/Everton Goal Supremacy spread of 0.3-0.5, you won 2.3 times your initial stake. It is going to be tough for the Toffees to remain in the top 5 – at a Season Points spread of 57-58.5, Spreadex has them in 7th.
