Daily Spread Betting Round-up

What were Monday's big winning bets?

Who won the Premier League game between Crystal Palace and Brighton?

Palace looked to have the three points in the bag thanks to Wilfried Zaha’s penalty, but five minutes into injury time, Neal Maupay was presented with one last chance and the French striker made no mistake, securing a point in a 1-1 draw.

Zaha Player Goal Minutes (settled at 45)

We told yesterday how there had been money for Zaha to carry on his amazing record against Brighton, and he didn’t disappoint when he stepped up to take a Palace penalty in first half injury time. The Ivory Coast international was 17/2 to be first goalscorer with Spreadex fixed odds, and his player goal minutes spread started at 9-12, meaning buyers won 33 times their bet. Zaha’s Player Performance, 51-56 before the game, settled at 88, banking buyers 32 times their stake. The Player Performance market awards 25 for a goal, 10 for an assist or hitting the woodwork, 5 for a shot on target or a blocked shot inside the 6-yard box, 2 for an off target shot or a pass in the opposition half and 3 for a freekick awarded.

Who won Monday’s La Liga game between Celta Vigo and Granada?

Celta claimed their second successive La Liga victory with a 1-0 win over Granada, who remain winless and in the relegation zone.

Bookings (settled at 80)

A bad-tempered affair that carried on after the final whistle was perfect for buyers of Bookings. Buyers before the match, when the spread was set at 57-61, made 19 times their money in the Bookings market, which awards 10 points per yellow card and 25 for a red. In all, seven Granada players were booked, though one was after the final whistle, and two from Celta. Buyers of Cross-Bookings (which multiplies one team’s booking points by the other) made 230 times their bet, the 850-970 spread well short of the settlement figure of 1200.

What happened in the IPL game between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals?

Finally dropping David Warner and giving England’s Jason Roy a go proved crucial for the struggling Sunrisers, who claimed just their second win on the IPL season by chasing down Rajasthan Royals’ 164-5 with nine balls to spare. Roy replaced Warner at the top of the order after the Aussie scored just two runs in two innings since the IPL resumed, and scored 60 from 42 balls.

Jason Roy Players Runs (settled at 60)

The England opener was finally given his chance, and there were plenty of buyers of his runs (set at 28-32) as punters backed Roy to grab his chance. He didn’t let them down, winning buyers 28 times their stake, with his knock of 60.

What happened in the horse racing at Bath?

While other meetings fell foul to the weather, Bath hosted a full day’s racing, though the testing conditions threw up some surprise results.

Favourites (settled at 45)

The Favourites market awards points depending on the performance of the favourite in each race. It awards 25 points to a favourite that wins, 10 points to a favourite that is second, and 5 points to a third-placed favourite. Sellers in this market (73-77) made 28 times their bet, and after the second race, where 8/13 favourite Firth of Clyde could only finish second, it already looked like the sellers would come out on top.

What happened in the NFL Monday Night Football?

Almost a year to the day since his horrific ankle injury, Dak Prescott starred for the Dallas Cowboys as they beat the Philadelphia Eagles 41-21 at AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys QB, fully fit after his fractured and dislocated ankle, completed 21 of 26 passes including three touchdowns.

Dalton Schultz Super Mega Minutes (settled at 122)

Dallas Tight End Dalton Schultz was one of the standout performers for the Cowboys with two touchdowns. Buyers of his Player TD Minutes (6.5-9.5) won 58.5 times their bet with a settlement of 68, and buyers of SMM (7.5-10.5), which doubles the minutes of any second touchdown and trebles any third, banked 111.5 times their stake.
