Daily Spread Betting Round-up

What were the big winning bets from Thursday's action?

How did Barcelona do in their La Liga game?

Barcelona, fresh from needing an injury time equaliser to grab a point at home to Granada on Monday night, played out another disappointing draw on Thursday, this time 0-0 at Cadiz.

Cross-Bookings (settled at 1650)

After 45 minutes of this La Liga encounter, there was no goals, no bookings and no excitement. And while the goals still proved elusive, the referee certainly found his cards after the break, booking three players from each side, before showing Barca’s Frenkie De Jong a second yellow followed by a red. Under fire Barca boss Ronald Koeman was also dismissed after the final whistle for good measure! Cross Bookings multiplies one team’s booking points (10 for a yellow, 25 for a red) by the other side’s, totalling 1650 here, 30x55. The spread pregame was 580-670, meaning buys won 980 times their stake.

Did Napoli beat Sampdoria to go back to the top of Serie A?

Napoli negotiated what looked a tricky trip to Sampdoria with ease, going back to the top of the table with a 4-0 win. Luciano Spalletti’s side maintained the only 100% record in Serie A with two goals from Victor Osimhen and one each from Fabian Ruiz and Piotr Zielinski, leapfrogging AC and Inter Milan to go top.

Osimhen Super Mega Minutes (settled at 110)

Coming into this game with three goals in his last two games, Nigerian international Osimhen attracted some interested from buyers of Super Mega Minutes spread, set at 35-41. He didn’t disappoint, with two more goals, winning buyers 69 times their bet.

Who won the first Super League play-off game between Wigan Warriors and Leeds Rhinos?

Leeds booked their place in the Super League play-off semi-finals with a battling 8-0 win at Wigan. Ash Handley got the only try of a game which was scoreless at half-time.

Match Multi-Points (settled at 0)

Battles between these two old rivals have often been attritional, and Wigan especially have had trouble keeping the scorers busy this season. Sellers of the Match Multi-Points spread, set at 256-288, hit the jackpot when this match reached half-time without any score. Match Multi-Points multiplies first half points by second half, which meant sellers could bank the maximum 256 times their stake by half-time!

Who won the IPL game between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders?

KKR, skippered by England captain Eoin Morgan, carried on their fine form at the restart of the IPL season with a second successive victory. Mumbai posted 155-6 but KKR chased it down with almost five overs to spare to move above the current champions on run rate as the race for play-off places hots up.

Multi-Flyer (settled at 75)

This market is made up of each team’s first over runs multiplied together, and when he first ball of the match, from Nitish Rana to Rohit Sharma, was despatched for four, buyers of the spread (33-38) were hoping for a big score. Just one run from the final five balls though left the Mumbai contribution at 5 and buyers needing KKR to score at least 8 in their opening over to make profit. The needn’t have worried, as KKR openers Shubman Gill and Venkatesh Iyer both hit sixes in the first over as Kolkata registered 15 off the first six balls. Buyers could relax with a profit of 37 times their stake.

Who won the NFL Thursday Night Football between Houston Texans and Carolina Panthers?

If defence wins championships, the Carolina Panthers look a force to be reckoned with this season. They won 24-9 in Houston, holding the Texans to just 42 running yards, to move to 3-0 for the season.

Houston Shirts (settled at 3)

A combination of Carolina’s top-rated defence, plus Houston relying on rookie QB Davis Mills, meant sellers in the Houston Shirts market, which totals the shirt numbers of all Houston TD scorers, made 43 times their stake. The spread before the game was 46-53
