Daily Spread Betting Round-up
City and United played a game of musical chairs at the top of the table last night – but how much money did football spread betting fans win? It’s the Daily Sports Spread Betting Roundup! When was the last time Man City were top of the table? For a couple of hours on Wednesday, Man City were in 1st place, a spot they last occupied for any serious length of time on the first weekend of 2019/20. Contrary to expectations, however, they didn’t completely blow away Dean Smith’s depleted Aston Villa, instead sneaking a late 2-0 victory. Bernado Silva scored first, in the 79th minute – buy his Player Goal Minutes spread of 10-13, and you won 66 times your initial stake. You actually did better to buy Rodri’s Assist Minutes spread of 2-4. If you did, his helping hand secured you 75 times your opening bet. It wasn’t until the dying moments of the game that City scored again, via an Ilkay Gundogan penalty. Here you could either have bought a Penalty Goal Minutes spread of 15-18 for 72 times your original wager, or backed Gundogan at a PGM spread of 11-14 for 76 times your starting stake. The result did mean, however, you needed to sell a hopeful Total Goals spread of 3.2-3.4 for a 1.2 times multiplier. How many goals has Paul Pogba scored for Man United? Gleefully dethroning City a few hours later, Man United returned to the top with a tricky 2-1 win over Fulham. The Cottagers had surprisingly gone in front after 5 minutes – sell a 1st Fulham Goal of 60-63 and you nabbed 55 times your initial bet before you’d even really settled on the sofa. Edinson Cavani’s 21st minute equaliser wasn’t much use to spread bettors. However, Paul Pogba’s 65th minute stunner – his 36th goal for the club – made anyone buying the Frenchman’s PGM spread of 5-8 a tasty 57 times their opening wager. When was the last time Man United lost away from home? Wednesday’s win takes them to 17-games unbeaten on the road in the league. Victory at the Emirates on January 30th would see them set a new club record. Who is favourite to win the league, Man City or Man United? As things stand, United are in 1st place on 40 points. But City are still in arguably in the driving seat, on 38 points with a game in hand. That’s reflected in Spreadex’s prices. City are top of the Season Points table at 83-84.5, and are odds on at 1/2 to win the league. In comparison, United are at 74.5-76 and 11/2 respectively – behind Liverpool at 76-77.5 and 15/4.
