Daily Spread Betting Round-up
What does the Premier League title race look like after the weekend? And how much money could football spread betting punters have made? It’s the Daily Sports Spread Betting Roundup! Who is now favourite to win the Premier League? The 1-1 scoreline between Man City and Liverpool belies what was a great game of football – though one that didn’t do too much to change the makeup of the title race at this still-early stage in the season. Mo Salah had put the visitors ahead from the spot in the 13th minute, before Gabriel Jesus equalised in the 31st minute. Just before the break, in the 42nd minute, Kevin De Bruyne then scuffed a penalty that would’ve given the hosts all 3 points. That missed spot-kick is interesting. Without it, you needed to sell a Penalty Goal Minutes spread of 24-27 to made 11 times your initial stake. If the Belgian had scored, however, a makeup of 55 would’ve meant buying at that same price left you with 28 times your opening bet.The relative lack of goals also meant you needed to sell a Total Goal Minutes spread of 173-188 to make 128 times your original wager from a makeup of just 44. Even corners were weirdly on the low side. Sell a Corners spread of 10-10.5, and the 3 managed between the pair left you with a 7 times multiplier. So, with the points shared, what are the odds on Liverpool winning the title? The defending champions are at a Season Points spread of 79.5-81 to City’s 81.5-83, in part thanks to Guardiola’s side having a game in hand. In terms of fixed odds, however, Liverpool are at 8/5 to City’s 13/8. And what are the odds on Leicester wining the league? Now in 1st place after beating Wolves 1-0, the Foxes are still only at a Season Points spread of 61.5-63 – placing them around 6th – with a fixed odds price of 22/1. Where will Arsenal finish this season? From their 1st win at Old Trafford for 14 years, to a woeful 3-0 loss at home to Aston Villa, Mikel Arteta’s project is on increasingly shaky ground. Though it shouldn’t be a complete surprise given their results against Liverpool and Leicester, the visitors were coming off 3-0 and 4-3 losses to Leeds and Southampton. That meant you needed to sell an Arsenal/Aston Villa Goal Supremacy spread of 0.85-1.05 to win yourself 3.85 times your initial bet. Ollie Watkins was the star of the 2nd half, getting a quick brace in the 72nd and 75th minutes. Buy him at a SMM spread of 24-27, and a makeup of 222 won you 193 times your opening stake! The Gunners now sit at a Season Points spread of 61-62.5, just behind Leicester and a fair way ahead of Everton. And where will Aston Villa finish this season? They are still looking at missing out on the top 10, with a Season Points spread of 51-52.5. What are the chances of Man United finishing in the top 4?Bouncing back from their Istanbul embarrassment, Man United made it 3 losses in a row for Everton as they won 3-1 at Goodison Park. The Toffees had gone 1-0 up the 19th minute, only for a Bruno Fernandes brace – not featuring a penalty – to put United in front. With goals in the 25th and 32nd minutes, Bruno’s SMM makeup hit 89 against a starting spread of 24-29. That’s 60 times your original stake. In the dying moments of the game Edinson Cavani then made it 3-1, with his first goal for Man United. Back him at a sub PGM of 4-7, and you won 83 times your opening bet. Shockingly that win only leaves Man United – who’ve played 7 games instead of 8 – in 14th place, compared to Everton’s 7th. Spreadex has Ole and the gang at a Season Points spread of 64-65.6, placing them in 5th, while the Toffees are head for 8th at 56.5-58.
