Daily Spread Betting Round-up

Who will win the women's US Open?

What price is Emma Raducanu to win the US Open?

After another fantastic night at Flushing Meadows, Emma Raducanu is through to the final of the US Open. And after six straight wins – plus three qualifiers too – all without dropping a set, the 18-year-old Londoner is favourite to lift the trophy at 8/13. She’ll face another teenager, Leylah Fernandez, the 13/10 outsider, in the final.

What odds was Raducanu before the start of the US Open?

After coming through the three qualifying rounds, Raducanu was priced at 66/1 to win the US Open before the main tournament began. Fernandez was 400/1. In the spreads, the Outright Index, which awards 60/40/20/10/5 points depending how far players get, had Emma at 1-2, meaning anyone buying at 2 is already guaranteed 38 times your stake as profit, and that becomes 58 times if she wins the final!

Unders Dominate

The semi-final followed a familiar story as Raducanu blasted 17th seed Maria Sakkari off the court 6-1 6-4. The British sensation again got the job done so quickly that sellers in the spreads markets profited, with Raducanu Points (68) going under the 72-76 spread, Total Games (17) going under the 22.5-23.5 line and Total Sets again settled at two, like in every one of Raducanu’s matches. The line for Total Sets was 2.37-2.45.

X-Courts (Settled at 30)

Raducanu’s early dominance meant the X-Courts market was always going to finish in favour of sellers at 50 before the semi began. X-Courts multiplies one player’s games in a set by their opponent’s, then adds all the sets up, and as Emma won the first set 6-1, only six points came from the first set. The second was closer, 6-4 adding 24 to the total and settling the market at 30, meaning sellers banked 20 times their wager.

Favourites Reign

It was a good day for favourites as the St Leger Festival continued in Doncaster. The Favourites market, which awards 25/10/5 points for a favourite finishing 1st/2nd/3rd  started at 84-88, and rewarded buyers with 17 times their stake in profit. That was without much help in the 4.15 race, when Frankie Dettori guided the 7/2 outsider of three, Harrovian, to victory!

Who are favourites to win the Super Bowl?

The NFL is back, and buyers of shirt numbers enjoyed a fruitful first game as Tampa Bay beat the Dallas Cowboys 31-29. Four touchdowns for each team, including a pair from evergreen Bucc’s number 87 Rob Gronkowski, helped shirt numbers finish at 395, meaning buyers at 233 made 162 times their money.

The Kansas City Chiefs, who start their campaign on Sunday night, are favourites to win the Super Bowl at 9/2 with Spreadex fixed odds. The Chiefs' spread on the Super Bowl Index, which awards 100/70/50/33/20 points depending how far each team gets, is 43-47.
