Daily Spread Betting Round-up

Winning bets from Monday's football, snooker & NFL

How have QPR got up to third in the Championship?

Say it quietly but this could be the year QPR finally get back to the promised land of the Premier League, and if they do, they may look back on Andre Gray’s last minute winner at Derby County as a crucial factor. Gray’s spectacular goal gave all three points to the Hoops, sending them up to third in the Championship, seven points behind Bournemouth. Derby, bottom of the table and 19 points from safety after having 21 points deducted, had taken four points from games with the top two in the past week, and looked to be on track for another shock when Tom Lawrence put them ahead after 10 minutes. Chris Willock got QPR level and set the stage for substitute Gray to decide the game in spectacular fashion.

Total Goal Minutes (settled at 150)

We had seen some buying in this market, with the spread set at 117-127. Derby have definitely picked up of late and on the back of some decent results, looked like they were going to hang on for a point in this game which would have cost the buyers dear. However, the Hoops have a number of options up front and can change a game with a well-timed substitution. Gray, who has played plenty of times in the Premier League for the likes of Burnley and Watford, showed his class with a memorable finish, and with it gave those Total Goal Minutes buyers a profit of 23 times their bet.

Is Ronnie O’Sullivan still in the UK Championship?

The seeds have been dropping like flies, but Ronnie is into the last 16 after a straightforward win against Mark King. The Rocket quickly jumped out to a 3-0 lead, and while King hit back to trail by just one frame at 4-3, he never got on terms, and Ronnie won the two frames needed to set up a quarter-final clash with Thailand’s Noppon Saengkham. Three-time champ John Higgins joined the seeds on the sidelines, going down 6-5 to China’s Zhao Xintong.

Mark King Points (settled at 247)

While Ronnie’s form has been a bit up and down, and there’s always that x factor of whether arguably the most talented player in snooker history is ‘up for It’, there will always be plenty of punters backing him to win. Expecting an easy victory, punters sold his opponent’s total points, and while their profit wasn’t as large as they’d have been hoping when King was held scoreless in the first two frames, they still enjoyed a decent return. The spread was set at 292-317, so sellers made 45 times their stake.

What happened in the NFL Monday Night Football?

Washington held on in a low-scoring encounter against the Seattle Seahawks to claim their third win a row and move to 5-6 for the season. The 17-15 home win also ends any realistic hopes Seattle had of reaching the play-offs. The Seahawks almost forced overtime, going for a two-point conversion, and then looked to have another chance, gathering an onside kick, only for an infringement to stop them in their tracks. Star quarterback tasted three defeats in a row for Seattle for the first time in his career, while this was only Washington’s third home victory on a Monday night in their 20th attempt.

Washington Launch! (settled at 340)

In an attritional, low scoring game, plenty of unders landed across our spreads and those who chose to sell were in the money in general. The Washington Launch! market is made up of the team’s longest completed pass multiplied by the longest run from scrimmage, and settled at just 340. With the spread set at 885-1035, sellers made a profit of 545 times their bet.
