Will there be any shocks in store during the week’s FA Cup 1st round replays? First up on Wednesday is a trip to Tranmere for Peterborough, at 7.45pm on BT Sport 1. The Posh were under the cosh in the first attempt at the fixture, so much so that it took until the 52nd minute for Peterborough to have a shot on target. Luckily for them it went in, with Jack Marriott’s goal taking his season tally to 11 in all competitions, leaving him with a Super Mega PGM of 30-36. However, Rovers’ substitute Andy Cook – who sits at 27-32 – disrupted the Posh party 20 minutes later, scoring just 4 minutes after coming off the bench. In fact, Tranmere almost nabbed a scalp in the final moments of the game, only for Peterborough goalie Conor O’Malley to deny Ollie Norburn a dream ending. Though they were arguably outplayed at the start of the month, Grant McCann’s side will be confident they can see off their non-league hosts, at a Peterborough/Tranmere (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 2.75-2.95. Thursday’s fixture, meanwhile, may be for purists only, as Isthmian League Premier Division – i.e. semi-professional – rivals Billericay Town and Leatherhead face off at 7.45pm on BT Sport 1. Though their game a couple of Sundays ago ended in a 1-1 draw, with Billy Bricknell’s second half penalty cancelling out Jack Midson’s opener, their form has diverged quite dramatically this season. Despite having playing only 12 games – fewer than anyone else in the league – Billericay find themselves in 4th place, and could well be looking at promotion come the end of the season. Leatherhead, on the other hand, are languishing in 21st place after 13 games, admittedly 7 points ahead of Worthing, who are squatting in the division’s sole relegation spot. Given the sizeable difference in their league performances, the Blues should have a place in FA Cup 2nd round sorted, with Spreadex offering a Billericay Town/Leatherhead Goal Supremacy spread of 1.65-1.85 alongside a Total Goals spread of 3.25-3.45.
