After the euphoria of England's Women's Euros victory on home soil last year, the Lionesses now go in search of even bigger honours as they travel down under for the 2023 FIFA World Cup, joint-hosted by Australia and New Zealand. The USA come into the tournament as defending champions and betting favourites, but what are the latest betting odds and what fixed odds and spread betting markets are on offer with Spreadex Sports? Read on to find out!
As always, when spread betting, be aware that losses can exceed deposits.
WHO ARE THE OUTRIGHT FAVOURITES and what are england's odds?
As mentioned above, the USA come into the tournament as the favourites to reclaim their crown and are available on the fixed odds at 12/5, while their spread betting outright price is currently 52 - 57 on our Outright Index market. Similarly to other Index markets, the market will be settled on a 100 - 75 - 50 - 25 - 10 - 0 scale. This means that if USA win the trophy, their spread make-up will be 100, meaning a buy at 57 would net you 43x your opening stake.
A runner-up finish would mean the market settles at 75, 50 correlates to a loss in the semi-finals, 25 for a quarter-final exit, 10 for a Round-of-16 exit and 0 if a team exits in the group stages. So, if you were to sell the USA spread at 52 and they exited before the Round-of-16, the market would settle at 0 and you would net 52x your initial wager.
In terms of the other favourites, Spain and England are available at the same fixed odds price of 9/2, but Spain have a spread price of 47 - 52 while the Lionesses are available at 41 - 45.

There are also a range of other fixed odds markets available including betting on a particular team to make the final, picking the correct finalist combination, or betting on the exact stage of elimination for each team. A final between the USA and England can be backed at 6/1.
WHICH OTHER MARKETS ARE AVAILABLE TO BET ON?
Spreadex Sports offer numerous exciting ways to get involved with the action aside from only betting on the tournament winner, and these include our special Player Markets and Tournament Totals Markets. These markets offer a more specific approach if you wish to bet on a particular player scoring a certain number of goals.
For example, the USA's Megan Rapinoe was joint-top scorer in the 2019 tournament with six goals, while her spread ahead of this one stands at just 0.7 - 0.9. So, if Rapinoe managed to repeat the feat of six goals and you bought at 0.9, you would return 5.1x your stake.
In terms of goalscorers too, we have markets for both the Tournament Top Scorer and also Top Scorers by individual team. The current favourite to win the Golden Boot is the USA starlet Alex Morgan, at a fixed odds price of 9/2. Morgan is followed by Sam Kerr and Sophia Smith - both at 7/1.
In terms of Tournament Totals, you can bet on aggregated totals over the course of the whole tournament for things like yellow cards, goals, corners, penalty goal minutes and much more!
In the 2019 tournament, there were 146 goals scored in total. The starting spread ahead of this one is 214 - 219, meaning if you sold at 214 and there 146 once again, you would return 68x your stake.

England's first match kicks off against Haiti on Saturday morning - will the Lionesses begin with a comfortable victory? England/Haiti Supremacy stands at 4 - 4.3, with Total Goal Minutes at 230 - 245 and 1st Match Goal at 22 - 25.
