Looking to bounce back from their Sri Lankan shocker and cling onto a spot in the semi-finals, England take on Australia at Lord’s. Meanwhile the busy international football schedule continues. 1. England vs Australia – England/Australia Supremacy, 6-16With Bangladesh breathing down their necks, England can’t really afford to lose to Australia on Thursday, especially since Thursday’s match is followed by group staging-closing fixtures against India and New Zealand. That they suffered their 2nd shock defeat of the tournament last Friday, losing to Sri Lanka by 20 runs, complicates matters further, meaning Eoin Morgan and co. not only need to put in a big performance, but shake-off any mental gremlins in doing so. It is expected to be very tight, with Spreadex offering an England/Australia Supremacy spread of 6-16, where 1 point is awarded for each run a match is won by or 10 points for each wicket it is won by. 2. Netherlands vs Japan – Time of Last Ned Goal, 48-51Netherlands won all 3 of their Group E games, only to be rewarded for that achievement with a last-16 game against Japan, a side that have reached the final of the last 2 World Cups. Admittedly, the Japanese don’t quite seem at the same level as they were in 2011 or 2015, drawing against Argentina and losing to England in Group D. In each group stage game the Netherlands scored in the final 15 minutes. That makes a Time of last Netherlands Goal spread of 48-51 a potentially interesting proposition. 3. Italy vs China – Cristiana Girelli SMM, 30-36Having not appeared in the tournament for 20 years, Italy have ended up being one of the World Cup’s surprise packages, topping Group C despite losing their final game to Brazil. China, meanwhile, scraped through in 3rd place in Group B. After her hat-trick against Jamaica, Cristiana Girelli will be looking to build her case for the Golden Boot, and heads into the last-16 tie at a SMM spread of 30-36. 4. Panama vs USA – Total Goal Minutes, 136-146Like their female counterparts during the World Cup group stages, the USA men’s side have been stomping all over the competition in the Gold Cup. Their first game saw a 4-0 win over debutantes Guyana, while they then beat Trinidad and Tobago 6-0. In both games the majority of the goals have been in the 2nd half – 3 against Guyana, 5 against Trinidad and Tobago. Similarly Panama, who have also beaten both of their group mates, have left it late, only 2 of their 6 goals total coming in the 1st half. Spreadex are offering a Total Goal Minutes spread of 136-146. 5. Cameroon vs Guinea-Bissau – Match Performance, 72-772017 champions Cameroon kick-off their African Cup of Nations title defence against Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday. The Indomitable Lions are chasing their 6th championship, and will look to put in a strong showing against a side that only made their competition debut 2 years ago. With that in mind, Spreadex are offering a Match Performance spread of 72-77, where a goal is worth 15 points, a corner 3, a yellow card 5, a red card 15 and an awarded penalty 10. A goalless draw, meanwhile, is worth -25.
