Sports Betting Blog – Bournemouth v Bolton, Championship preview 27-04-15

Victory for Eddie Howe’s side against Bolton Wanderers would all but guarantee a top two spot given their vastly superior goal difference over Middlesbrough.

And the spread betting prices have the Cherries favourites to pick up the needed three points in the 7.45pm Sky Sports 1 match with the Spreadex traders giving the hosts a near two goal advantage with a spread betting Goal Supremacy price of Bournemouth/Bolton 1.75 – 1.95.

Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last 11 having won seven of those clashes while Bolton have won just one of their last seven.

However, it could still be nervy night at the Goldsands Stadium as was the case during the last match here the weekend before last when Sheffield Wednesday were allowed to plunder a last-minute equaliser in a 2-2 draw.

Perhaps that’s why at Spreadex we’ve seen most of the money selling on that Goal Supremacy quote at 1.75 suggesting that, while punters don’t necessarily think Bournemouth will lose, they are sensing it may be a single goal victory that takes the Cherries to the brink of top flight football.

As far as team news goes, full back Simon Francis will be missing for the hosts after his sending off for two yellow cards in the 2-2 draw with the Owls while the Trotters are likely to welcome back Neil Danns and Barry Bannan after the pair were dropped for a breach of club discipline. Josh Vela and Matt Mills however may be missing for the visitors.

Elsewhere in the betting we’ve seen plenty of punters getting stuck into the corners spread betting markets ahead of tonight’s game. There have been some chunky takers of Match Corners, buying on a spread of 11.8 – 12.3 while we’ve also seen buyers of Cross-Corners (number of home corners taken multiplied by number of away corners taken) at 31 – 34 and Corners Squared (total number of corners taken in the match, squared) at 156 – 169.

In terms of who will find the net, Cherries leading scorer Callum Wilson perhaps unsurprisingly leads the betting and we’ve had takers of his Player Goal Minutes with buyers on a spread of 30 – 33 as well as backers on the fixed odds first scorer market at 7/2.

But the secret to Bournemouth’s success has perhaps been that they have been able to share the goals around the team with Yann Kermorgant, Brett Pitman and Matt Ritchie all in double figures for the season also.

If Bournemouth do – as expected – get the three points tonight then it will be a straight battle with Watford to be champions.

The Hornets host Sheffield Wednesday on the final day while Howe and his men go to Charlton.

Wednesday did get a point against Bournemouth in their last outing so are capable of springing a surprise but the fixed odds prices are firmly pointing to Watford being crowned champions at 1/5 compared to Bournemouth’s price of 7/2.
