The Australian A-League is set to continue behind closed doors this weekend, and Spreadex has you covered for spreads, fixed odds and live streaming for every fixture. Central Coast Mariners v Melbourne City Things kick off at 6.30am this Friday, on both BT Sport 3 and via Live Streaming on Spreadex.com, when the Central Coast Mariners take on Melbourne City. Just like last season, the Mariners are having an atrocious time of it in 2019/2020. Once again plum bottom of the A-League, they’ve picked up just 13 points in 21 games, leaving them 8 points adrift of FFA Cup round of 32 qualification. In other words, they are incredibly fortunate there’s no relegation. They’re coming up against 2nd place Melbourne City. Though to leave it there doesn’t paint the most accurate picture. While City are indeed sitting in 2nd, they are 10 points off of Sydney FC, who have 2 games in hand, and only 1 point ahead of Wellington Phoenix, who have 1 game in hand. A victory on Friday morning, then, is crucial if they are to try and solidify their hopes of reaching not only the Final Series and FFA Cup round of 32, but the qualifying round of the 2021 AFC Champions League. Luckily the Melbourne side have an ace in their sleeve in Jamie Maclaren. The 26-year old has 18 goals in 15 appearances in all competitions, and on Friday will face the worst defence in the A-League. That explains why Maclaren is at such a hefty SMM spread of 80-95. Last time these sides met back in November, City walked away with a 3-1 win. They’ll want at least the same on Friday, with Spreadex offering a Melbourne/Central Coast (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 1-1.2. Brisbane Roar v Newcastle JetsA bit later on Friday morning – 8.30am to be precise – the Brisbane Roar host the Newcastle Jets. The Roar are currently in 4th on 32 points after 21 games, meaning they are a longshot to reach the Champions League next year. If they are to stand any chance of doing so – they are 5 points behind City – then anything but a win on Friday is out of the question. The Jets aren’t too hot at the moment. Narrowly clinging on to 9th place, and therefore a spot in the FFA Cup round of 32, haven’t actually lost a game, meaning they might be tougher opponents this weekend than their league position would suggest. That’s reflected in Spreadex offering a very narrow Brisbane/Newcastle Goal Supremacy spread of 0-0.2. Western Sydney Wanderers v Sydney FCFinally the weekend comes to a climax on Saturday morning, with a big Sydney derby at 8.30am. Defending champions Sydney FC are riding high at the moment. They’re also guaranteed to top the A-League, sitting 10 points ahead of Melbourne City with 2 games in hand, and in Adam le Fondre they have the league’s top scorer. The former Bolton and Reading forward has 16 goals to his name, making him the one to watch on Saturday. And yet, there will be doubt in the hearts of the Sky Blues. For while they seem to have the regular season sewn up, twice have they lost to their Western rivals. Both of their meetings in 2019/20 have ended 1-0 to the Wanderers – a shock given they sit in 8th place with a goal difference of -3. Can the hosts make it a three-peat? Spreadex are offering a Sydney FC/Western Sydney (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.3-0.5, alongside a Bookings spread of 46-50 and a Total Goals spread of 2.8-3.
