Sports Blog 20/01/2016: FA Cup third round replays betting preview; Leicester v Tottenham and Liverpool v Exeter

The Spreadex traders have Spurs as the slight favourites with a Goal Supremacy of Tottenham/Leicester (h) 0.05 – 0.25, this despite the Foxes having beaten Tottenham only a week ago at the Lane to stay joint top of the table with Arsenal.

Claudio Ranieri’s side have been in fine form at home this season with just one reverse in 11, although admittedly that was a rather heavy defeat as they slumped 5-2 to the Gunners.

Spreadex clients seem to be siding with the hosts for this one and we’ve largely seen sellers of Spurs at 0.05 indicating our customers are anticipating this either ending level come 90 minutes or for Ranieri once again to get the better of Mauricio Pochettino.

Even though the likes of Jamie Vardy and Harry Kane may not necessarily be starters, punters fancy goals for this one and we’ve had plenty of buyers on our Total Goals spread of 2.6 – 2.8.

That said, there have been more sellers of Shirt Numbers on a spread of 49 – 52 so if there are to be goals, our customers believe they will be from players wearing the lower numbered shirts!

Portsmouth produced the big shock of last night as the League Two outfit beat Championship Ipswich 2-1.

So can Exeter trump that with what would be a sensational victory at Anfield against Liverpool in the night’s other remaining third round replay?

The Grecians were very unfortunate to be held to a 2-2 draw in the first match against a very youthful Reds side at St James Park.

But the Spreadex traders – and clients – aren’t giving Paul Tisdale’s men a sniff of an upset tonight with buyers galore on the Goal Supremacy spread of Liverpool/Exeter 1.85 – 2.05.

This means that buyers at 2.05 would need Liverpool to win by three clear goals in order to turn a profit.

Jurgen Klopp is likely to field plenty of youngsters again, but Christian Benteke could start just as he did in the first meeting with Exeter.

Our Benteke Player Goal Minute quote is 46 – 50 so buyers at 50 would need Benteke to at least net from the 51st minute onwards to start making money.

Liverpool v Exeter is live on BT Sport 2 at 8pm.
