Can Chelsea secure a record 14th consecutive Premier League win when they travel to Tottenham, at 8pm on Sky Sports 1? The Blues current sit 5 points clear at the top of the table, a gap they could open up to 8 points if they leave White Hart Lane victorious on Wednesday. Since their end of September defeat to Arsenal Chelsea have looked unstoppable, their 13 game unbeaten streak including wins over Leicester, Manchester United, Manchester City and, most pertinent to this mid-week fixture, Tottenham. That run is made all the more remarkable when one takes a closer look at Chelsea’s results. In that time Antonio Conte’s side have conceded just 4 goals (2 of which came against Stoke last weekend), while finding the back of the net 32 times. Vital to that success has been Diego Costa, whose 14 goals makes him the top scorer in the Premier League, and Eden Hazard, who isn’t too far behind with 9; they head into Wednesday night at Super Mega PGMs of 28-33 and 20-24 respectively.Tottenham, meanwhile, are arguably in better shape than they were last time the two sides met, where they were coming off a Champions League loss in Monaco. In 5th place, but with the chance to go 4th if they take all 3 points on Wednesday, Spurs have won their last 4 games on the trot, scoring 13 goals in the process. Dele Alli has been Spurs’ star during that period, scoring 5 goals in his last 3 games; form so strong that it has reportedly caught the attention of Real Madrid. Alli, who now has 9 goals this season, has a Super Mega PGM of 18-22, while Harry Kane, who nabbed a brace in Watford at the weekend and is Tottenham’s top scorer with 12 goals in all competitions, has a spread of 33-39. Spurs rattled the Blues earlier in the season, even if they failed to come away from Stamford Bridge with anything. They might have more luck on home turf, though it’s too close to call, with Spreadex offering a choice Tottenham/Chelsea Goal Supremacy spread of -0.1-0.1 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.6-2.8 and a pretty chunky Bookings spread of 56-60.
