Can Tottenham continue their fantastic Champions League campaign by beating Juventus in their last 16 2nd leg at 7.45pm on BT Sport 2? Spurs pulled off quite the comeback in the 1st leg. They were 2-0 down within 10 minutes in Turin, a brace from Gonzalo Higuaín cementing the worst possible start imaginable. However Tottenham didn’t lose their heads, and thanks to Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen, managed to come away from the Allianz Stadium with a 2-2 draw and pair of potentially crucial away goals. That result is part of a rather impressive run of form for Tottenham, one that has seen them accumulate a 17 game unbeaten streak across all competitions (that number is admittedly a tad inflated due to the need for unlikely FA Cup replays against Newport County and Rochdale). Even better is the fact that Spurs have lost just twice at Wembley this season, and not since October 25th. To be fair to Juventus, they’re rocking similar stats, losing just 3 times in 38 games. And though Higuaín may be well behind Kane with 20 goals this season to the Englishman’s 35, and Super Mega PGMs of 31-37 and 50-58 respectively, he showed just what kind of threat he is last month. Still, if Spurs can tap into their recent Wembley swagger they could be in for another momentous win, with Spreadex offering a Tottenham/Juventus Goal Supremacy spread of 0.25-0.45 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.55-2.75. Elsewhere will Man City batter Basel when they host the Swiss club at 7.45pm on BT Sport 2? Much like Liverpool on Tuesday, City don’t exactly have a lot to do this evening. They picked up an easy breezy 4-0 victory at St Jacob-Park, meaning Basel need to at the very least score 4 while keeping out Guardiola’s formidable front line just to force the game to extra-time. Wednesday’s fixture may be more notable if it is the site of Sergio Aguero’s 200th goal in sky blue. The Argentine has been waiting to reach that landmark for a few games now, but is yet to score in March. That could easily change against Basel, however, especially given that he is at a whopping Super Mega PGM of 74-86. It’s sort of hard to fathom the Premier League champions-elect not winning on Wednesday, with Spreadex offering a Manchester City/Basel Goal Supremacy spread of 2-2.2 alongside a Total Goals spread of 3.15-3.35.
