Can Leicester recapture some of last’s season’s magic when they host Manchester City on Saturday? Oh how far the Foxes have fallen. The last time they met Manchester City Leicester produced an unforgettable 3-1 victory, cementing their position as the title front-runners; this time around, and following an otherwise successful Champions League group stage that ended with a 5-0 humiliation at the hands of Porto, that kind of achievement just doesn’t seem possible. Their 4 European wins is more than the 3 they have managed in the Premier League, a dismal run of form that leaves the defending champions just 2 points above the relegation zone. The fact that the likes of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez, both at a Super Mega PGM spread of 18-22, were rested mid-week might help, but given the form of the former Leicester shouldn’t hold their breath. City, meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back after their 3-1 defeat at the hands of Chelsea, ensuring they don’t drop too far behind in the title race. They will have to do it without Sergio Aguero, Fernandinho and Nicolas Otamendi, who are all suspended following various infractions against the league leaders last weekend. That does mean, however, Kelechi Iheanacho has another chance to shine, heading into Saturday at a Super Mega PGM of 45-52. The visitors shouldn’t have too many issues on Saturday evening, with Spreadex offering a Manchester City/Leicester (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.75-0.95 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.95-3.15. Before all that Watford will be looking to leapfrog Everton when the 2 sides meet early Saturday afternoon. Neither club is having a great time of it at the moment; the Hornets have lost 3 of their last 4 league games, while the Toffees have only picked up 2 points in the same period. Despite Everton having Romelu Lukaku, whose 7 goals leave him at a Super Mega PGM of 32-38, Watford have been a tad more prolific this season thanks to the combined forces of Eienne Capoue (at 8-11) and Troy Deeney (at 20-24). Yet Ronald Koeman and co. just about have the quality to see them through on Saturday, with Spreadex offering an Everton/Watford (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.05-0.25 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.4-2.6. Sunday is then a pretty mouth-watering day of football, kicking off with a relatively easy fixture for 1st place Cheslea, who take on West Brom at 12pm. The Blues have won their last 8 league games on the trot, scoring 22 goals while conceding just 2. That muscular run has left them with a 3 point lead over 2nd place Arsenal, a pretty remarkable turnaround given the club’s lack of clout back in September. They also have the (joint) top scorer in the Premier League, Diego Costa’s 11 goals giving him a Super Mega PGM of 57-67. Considering that Chelsea have managed to secure wins against Tottenham and Man City in their last 2 games the prospect of playing West Brom likely isn’t giving Antonio Conte sleepless nights. The Baggies, however, have been solid in their last 4 games, winning 3 and drawing 1. Realistically, however, they don’t have enough in them to topple the table toppers, with Spreadex offering a Cheslea/West Brom Goal Supremacy spread of 1.65-1.85 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.85-3.05. Later that afternoon sees one of the toughest games to call, as Manchester United try and close the gap on 5th place Tottenham. Currently 6 points separate the 2 sides, Spurs’1 league loss this season a stark contrast to United’s 1 league win in their since the start of October. In fact Mourinho’s men have seen a trio of 1-1 draws in their last 3 games, a run that has seen them slip so far behind that their title push may already be over. Compared to the sides above them both Tottenham and Man United have had issues up front this season; nevertheless, Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s 8 league goals leave him at a Super Mega PGM of 35-41, while Harry Kane’s sits at 27-32 after finding the back of the net 7 times. Given the European exploits of both the game will likely be tight, with Spreadex offering a Manchester United/Tottenham Goal Supremacy spread of 0.25-0.45 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.4-2.6. The weekend then ends with a trip to Liverpool for West Ham. After their shock loss to Bournemouth the Reds will be looking to get their title-push back on track, something that may be easy against a floundering bag of Hammers especially since Liverpool have the best attack in the league. So far they have scored 35 goals this season; and even with Coutinho injured they have Sadio Mane on 7 league gaols and Roberto Firmino on 5, with Super Mega PGMs of 43-50 and 45-52 respectively. While Klopp chases gold the pressure is mounting for last season’s other European import, with Slaven Bilic increasingly close to the exit door at West Ham. The Hammers suffered a hefty 5-1 defeat to Arsenal last Saturday and may be in for another punishing afternoon this weekend, with Spreadex offering a Liverpool/West Ham Goal Supremacy spread of 1.65-1.85 alongside a Total Goals spread of 3.3-3.5.
