Can Monaco overcome the odds once again and beat Juventus in Italy, at 7.45pm on BT Sport 2? Though they scuffed their chance of sealing another Serie A title on Saturday, drawing against Torino at home, Juventus still have a 7 point lead at the top of the table and already have a place in the Coppa Italia final. That means if the Turin team can reach the Champions League final, they could be on their way to their first ever treble. And they certainly put themselves in a strong position during the first leg. A brace from Gonzalo Higuain – who also scored the 92nd minute equaliser at the weekend, has 32 goals in all competitions and sits at a Super Mega PGM of 45-51 – gave the defending and likely new Italian champions a nice pair of away goals heading into Tuesday’s reverse fixture. It also, even more impressively, means that Juve haven’t conceded a Champions League goal in 6 games, despite being drawn against the two highest scoring sides in Europe back-to-back. Yet while Monaco may have lost the battle of rampant attack versus flawless back-line the first time around, they have already proved this season their capacity to surprise. Whether or not the French side can do to Juventus what they did to Man City will likely be dependent on how effective Kylian Mbappe and Radamel Falcao are at breaking down the Italian’s diamond strength defence. Neither had much luck in France, though at Super Mega PGMs of 21-25 and 21-26 respectively only a fool would count them out completely. The hosts are very much in the driving seat heading into Tuesday night, and while Leonardo Jardim’s side could pull off another shock, our traders think it unlikely, offering a Juventus/Monaco Goal Supremacy spread of 0.65-0.85 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.7-2.9.
