Can Chelsea put their weekend slip-up behind them when they travel to Huddersfield at 8pm on BT Sport 1? Antonio Conte can’t be happy with how many mistakes the Blues have made this season. After Saturday’s shock 1-0 loss to David Moyes’ West Ham Chelsea now sit 14 point adrift of Premier League leaders Man City in 3rd place, all but ending their title defence here. Now they might have to fight to keep hold of a place in the Champions League (especially since their chances of winning the competition were dealt a major blow when they drew Barcelona in the last 16, punishment for failing to finish top of their group). On 32 points they’re just 2 ahead of Liverpool, 3 ahead of Arsenal and 4 ahead of Tottenham; a couple more bad results and they could easily find themselves dropping out of the top 4. Luckily they’re up against Huddersfield, a side that have proven decent value for Premier League debutantes, but have a tendency to wilt in the face of bigger clubs. There’s been a 4-0 loss to Tottenham, a 3-0 defeat to Liverpool, and a 5-0 hammering at the hands of Arsenal (not to mention a 4-0 loss at Bournemouth). The Terriers did manage to end their 4 game losing streak on Saturday; however a 2-0 win against Brighton isn’t quite the right level of preparation for a game for a Conte side looking for catharsis. Given the state of Huddersfield’s defence, then Alvaro Morata might be able to edge into double digits in the league – he currently has 9 goals (10 in all competition) – and heads into Tuesday’s game at a Super Mega PGM of 43-50. That’s ahead of Michy Batshuayi at 33-39, and Eden Hazard at 36-42. For the Terriers, Steve Mounie’s likely their best chance going forwards, with the Beninese striker at a Super Mega PGM of 12-16. The Blues will likely be looking to take out their weekend frustrations on their hosts, with Spreadex offering a Chelsea/Huddersfield (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 1.2-1.4 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.55-2.7.
