There’s not a lot at stake in Monday’s game, as Chelsea host Watford at 8pm on Sky Sports 1. Crowned champions with last Friday’s win at West Brom, Chelsea have little to prove this evening; it’s not even their final game at Stamford Bridge this season, that honour going to a visit from bottom of the table Sunderland next weekend. However, Antonio Conte will want to end things on a bang, not a whimper, so Watford shouldn’t expect an easy ride. It also provides the Italian manager with a chance to give a run out to some of his less-featured players. John Terry could make an appearance at the back, while Michy Batshuayi could well make his first ever Premier League start having scored the winner at the Hawthorns. The Belgian youngster heads into Monday night at a Super Mega PGM of 46-54, behind only Eden Hazard, at 49-57, and Diego Costa, at 59-69. The game also provides Costa with a penultimate opportunity to try and claim the season’s Golden Boot, though with 4 goals less than league leader Romelu Lukaku he needs a pair of big performances in his final 2 games if he is going to do so. As for Watford, though it’s not much they are still chasing their best ever Premier League performance, which currently stands at last season’s 13th place finish. At the moment the Hornets find themselves in 16th, but having played one game less than those around them. A win would propel them to 12th place, while the top 10 is still in reach dependent on what the likes of West Brom, Southampton and Leicester do in their final matches. That is easier said than done; in 2017 Watford have won just 5 games, drawing 3 and losing the other 10, including the last 4 in a row. That’s awful form at the best of times, let alone when visiting the freshly anointed Premier League champions, leading Spreadex to offer a Chelsea/Watford Goal Supremacy spread of 1.85-2.05 alongside a Total Goals spread of 3.25-3.45.
