This week Premier League fans get an extra dose of football with the 2nd Friday game of the season! That match should be a feisty one, with Chelsea looking to make up for last weekend’s frustrations when they host Liverpool at 8pm on Sky Sports 1. The Blues were unlucky to only come away from Swansea with a point, though it did mark 4 in 4 for an in-form Diego Costa, who heads into Friday evening with a Super Mega PGM of 32-38. The Reds, meanwhile, put in their best performance of the nascent season, Roberto Firminio, who has a Super Mega PGM of 16-20, leading a 4-1 thrashing of Leicester. It’s likely to be a tight game at Stamford Bridge, with the added intrigue of the re-debut of David Luiz, though our traders seem to be backing the indomitable Conte, with Spreadex offering a Chelsea/Liverpool Goal Supremacy spread of 0.15-0.35 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.8-3. Saturday then sees a resurgent Everton take on Middlesbrough at 5.30pm on BT Sport 1. Since Ronald Koeman the Toffees have looked like a new side, and at this early point in the season find themselves loitering in the top 4 with 3 wins and a draw. As an added bonus Romelu Lukaku, who has a Super Mega PGM of 46-53, has finally woken up, scoring an 11 minute hat-trick in Sunderland. With slightly lower expectations Boro have also had a decent start to their Premier League re-entry; draws against Stoke and West Brom have been joined by a victory over Sunderland and, most recently, a lose against Crystal Palace. At the moment it’s hard to see the Toffees losing their momentum, meaning our traders are offering an Everton/Middlesbrough Goal Supremacy spread of 0.85-1.05 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.5-2.7. Flash forward to Sunday, and all of a sudden there is a lot more pressure on Manchester United’s trip to Watford on Sunday, at 12pm on BT Sport 1. Last weekend’s bitter loss to Man City was followed up by a similarly embarrassing defeat to Feyenoord in the Europa League; and though one of those results will have bothered Mourinho far more than the other, it still doesn’t speak to a team that have gotten over some of last season’s bad habits. Luckily for United Watford have been useless at home, losing to Chelsea and Arsenal; they did, however, smash West Ham 4-2 last Saturday, with the first goals of the season from Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney (who have Super Mega PGMs of 13-17 and 14-18 respectively). Mourinho will likely get things back on track this weekend, Spreadex offering at a Man United/Watford (h) Goal Supremacy spread at 0.85-1.05 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.55-2.75. Not one of the more exciting fixtures of the weekend then sees Crystal Palace take on Stoke at 2.15pm on Sky Sports 1. Neither side has impressed in their 4 games, though Palace admittedly nabbed a recent win over Middlesbrough. Stoke, on the other hand, are yet to be victorious in 2016/17, and haven’t actually scored in their past 2 games. Home advantage, and the mildest build-up of momentum, seems to give Pardew’s lot the edge, with Spreadex offering a Crystal Palace/Stoke Goal Supremacy spread of 0.35-0.55 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.35-2.55. Finally, following a disappointing defeat in their Wembley Champions League debut against Monaco, Tottenham will be looking to take out their anger on Sunderland, at 4.30pm on Sky Sports 1. It will be interesting to see if the return to White Hart Lane can have an immediate effect on their form; if so Spurs could be in for a cathartic afternoon. That’s because David Moyes’ Sunderland have looked pretty ropey so far, most recently losing 3-0 to Koeman’s classy Everton to extend their winless run. The bookies are eyeing a big win for Pochettino, with Spreadex offering a Tottenham/Sunderland Goal Supremacy spread of 1.5-1.7 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.9-3.1.
