In a tough to call Group H, can Poland or Senegal gain a leg-up when they meet in Moscow at 4pm on ITV? Though not in the toughest qualification group, Poland still dominated, with 8 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss (a 4-0 spanking in Denmark). The real story, however, was that Robert Lewandowski scored 16 out of the country’s 28 goals during the campaign. That was the highest tally in UEFA qualification, and joint top across all of FIFA with Saudi Arabia’s Mohammad Al-Sahlawi and UAE’s Ahmed Khalil. Unsurprisingly, then, Lewandowski has a chunky Super Mega PGM spread, the Bayern Munich forward at 40-47. Senegal also topped their qualification group, besting Burkina Faso, Cape Verde and 2010 hosts South Africa having beaten Madagascar in the CAF 2nd round. Like for Poland, the focus of Aliou Cisse’s side is upfront, namely Liverpool’s Sadio Mane. Mane got 20 goals for the Reds last season, leaving him with a Super Mega PGM of 17-21. Tuesday afternoon’s game could be tight, with Spreadex offering a Poland/Senegal Goal Supremacy spread of 0.15-0.35 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.05-2.55. Heading into the evening and Russia will try and build on their explosive start with a win over Egypt, at 7pm on BBC One. The hosts hammered Saudi Arabia in the competition curtain raiser, picking up an impressive 5-0 victory. Villarreal’s Denis Cheryshev named a brace in that game, and heads into Tuesday night at 16-20, with fellow goalscorers Iury Gazinsky at 4-7, Aleksandr Golovin at 13-17 and Artem Dzyuba at 27-32. Egypt weren’t so lucky in their first fixture, losing to Uruguay thanks to an 89th minute winner from Jose Gimenez. Now that the pressure is on, Hector Cuper is going to risk the fitness of Mo Salah, the Liverpool ace set to make his first World Cup appearance with a Super Mega PGM of 22-27. It’s debatable whether even that’ll be enough, with Spreadex offering a Russia/Egypt Goal Supremacy spread of 0.45-0.65 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.1-2.3. Finally Wednesday’s lunchtime game has Portugal look to make a mockery of Morocco at 1pm on BBC One. In probably the best game of the tournament so far, the Euro champs managed an electric draw against Spain, Cristiano Ronaldo’s relentlessness securing him a hat-trick and Portugal an important point. Eyeing the Golden Boot, the Real Madrid maestro sits a Super Mega PGM of 61-71, promising something special in Moscow. As for Morocco, their competition got off to the worst possible start. Already in a group with Spain and Portugal, the North African side lost their opening game to Iran thanks to a 95th minute own goal from Aziz Bouhaddouz. They face a HELL of a job reaching the last-16 now, especially with Spreadex offering a Portugal/Morocco Goal Supremacy spread of 0.8-1 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.2-2.4.
