There are six Championship matches involving our partner clubs this weekend including two televised matches as the Sky Sports cameras head to St Andrews and the Stadium of Light. If you are having a bet on the Championship this weekend, we have plenty of bet boosts for you to enjoy alongside our acca boost promotion.
We have a local derby to look forward to this Friday as West Bromwich Albion head down the A41 for a clash with rivals Birmingham City. The Baggies have back-to-back wins on the board and with three clean sheets in a row, they are narrow 13/8 favourites for this clash with the hosts priced at 19/10 and the draw available at 21/10.
There are a couple of bet boosts for tonight’s action with John Swift 10/3 from 11/4 to score anytime whilst Jay Stansfield is also 10/3 from 14/5 to hit the back of the net for the Blues. West Brom have a good defensive record and with four clean sheets in their last five matches there could be some interest in the 1st Birmingham Goal time which is set at 56-59 (If the hosts fail to score the spread settles at 90).
There is another derby for one of our partner clubs as Sunderland face a Middlesbrough who have found their feet after a dismal start to the season. Boro – who were well in the mix at the top of the Championship betting in August – had to wait seven games for their first victory, but three wins on the spin has seen them climb out of the relegation zone.
The Black Cats are fourth in the league and head into this clash as 7/5 favourites with the draw at 13/5 and Boro 2/1 to make it four wins in a row. Our bet boosts for the match see Jack Clarke pushed to 9/4 from 19/10 to score anytime whilst a home win with both sides scoring is now 15/4 from 3/1.
We have a wide range of football spread betting markets for you to enjoy, including our ever-popular Shirt Numbers spread which is 40-43 whilst Total Goal Minutes is 140-150.
Valerian Ismael takes his side to South Wales on the back of three straight defeats which has seen the Hornets sink to 21st in the league. They will be looking to bounce back to winning ways in the Welsh capital and they are 2/1 to get all three points with the draw priced at 9/4.
As for the hosts, a good start to the season has seen them defy the Championship odds which had them predicted to finish towards the bottom of the league and despite losing last time out, they will fancy their chances of a victory at 6/4 this weekend.
In our football spread betting markets, the Total Goals spread has been set at 2.4-2.6, with Goals Cubed at 34-40.
The next match in our Championship betting preview sees Norwich travel to Coventry for an intriguing match up between two sides who have their eyes on a play-off place. In a tough game to call the Canaries are 31/20 to have their wings clipped with a home win with the draw at 12/5.
The visitors have a strong record against Cov having won six and drawn two of their last eight encounters going back to 2010 and a Norwich win tomorrow is currently at 15/8.
Our football spread betting markets have Total Goal Minutes at 133-143 whilst Total Goals is 2.6-2.8.
Having been beaten 1-0 by Leeds during the week, QPR are now five games without a win and they are 2/1 to get a win this weekend with our partner club Blackburn priced at 13/10. Betting on the Championship can always be a tricky proposition with plenty of well-matched sides, but in our football spread betting market Blackburn are narrow 0.1-0.3 favourites on the Supremacy spread.
Our traders fancy there to be a few goals in this one with the Total Gaols spread set at 2.75-2.95 whilst you can buy or sell Total Goal Minutes at 141-151.
The final match of our Championship betting preview sees upwardly mobile Huddersfield Town take on rock bottom Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough and there is barely a cigarette paper between the two sides in the betting.
Wednesday are priced as 13/8 favourites for this one whilst you can get 7/4 about a Town win and we bet 12/5 the draw. With the Terriers unbeaten in five matches, there will likely be some interest in the Huddersfield Town draw no bet market which is 10/11 whilst both teams to score is priced up at 8/11.
