CHAMPIONSHIP BETTING PREVIEW WEEK 15

It is a bumper Championship betting preview this week as we bring you a lowdown of the latest Championship odds as well as boosts and specials across the six matches involving our partner clubs. With two of those games live on Sky Sports we offer a wide range of in-play options as well as our bet builder feature and an extensive list of football spread betting markets.

BLACKBURN ROVERS v PRESTON NORTH END, FRIDAY 8PM

There is a Lancashire derby this evening as Preston North End travel to partner club Balckburn Rovers in the televised fixture tonight. Rovers head into this one in good form and are a shade of odds on at 19/20 to keep their good form rolling on. Ryan Lowe’s Preston side made an excellent start to the season, but their win over Coventry last weekend was their first in eight games and they have dropped to sixth. You can back PNE to get the win at 3/1 this evening.

Rovers midfielder Sammie Szmodics has been one of the stories of the season so far and you can get the Colchester-born schemer to score anytime at a boosted price of 19/10 whilst a Rovers win with both sides scoring has been boosted to 16/5 from 13/5.

SUNDERLAND v BIRMINGHAM CITY, SATURDAY 3PM

Principal partners Sunderland are also in action in front of the Sky Sports cameras this weekend and they are 3/4 to get all three points against Birmingham City tomorrow lunchtime.

The Rooney revolution has garnered one point from four league matches and they can be backed at 15/4 to get an unlikely victory in the North East with the draw priced at 29/10. As with all of Sunderland’s matches this season we have some boosted bets with Jack Clarke 15/8 from 8/t to hit the back of the net at the Stadium of Light.

In our spread betting markets, Sunderland are favoured on the Supremacy at 0.7-0.9, Shirt Numbers is 50-54 and you can buy or sell corners at 9.5-10. Remember we have plenty of info and guides if you want to learn more about football spread betting.

CARDIFF CITY v NORWICH CITY, SATURDAY 3PM

Norwich City are going through the wringer at the moment and they face a tough trip to Cardiff City in a Spreadex derby this weekend. The Bluebirds have been excellent at home this season and plenty of punters will fancy them to keep that run going with the Welsh outfit even money to clip the Canaries’ wings.

As for Norwich, it has been one blow after another, and they were woeful in defeat against Blackburn last time out with head coach David Wagner coming under increasing pressure. They are 13/5 to get a win and relieve the pressure on the beleaguered German whilst the draw can be backed at 11/4.

The Total Goals spread is 2.65-2.85 and if nothing else this season, Norwich’s games have seen plenty of goals at both ends with Total Goal Minutes available to buy or sell at 135-145.

HULL CITY v HUDDERSFIELD TOWN, SATURDAY 3PM

Huddersfield Town are another one of our partner clubs who are struggling at the moment, with boss Darren Moore unable to field a full bench for last weekend’s clash with Watford. The Terriers did at least manage to arrest the slide with a 0-0 draw against the Hornets, but they may fear a mauling by the Tigers this weekend.

Beaten 4-1 by Leeds in their last away trip, they head to Humberside as 4/1 outsiders with the draw at 13/5 and the hosts 3/4 to earn their stripes.

Town have scored two or more goals just once in their last eight league matches (a 2-1 win over relegation threatened QPR) and the spread on Huddersfield Goals is 0.8-1 whilst you can buy or sell the minute of the First Town Goal at 61-64.

SOUTHAMPTON v WEST BROMWICH ALBION, SATURDAY 3PM

One of the most eagerly anticipated clashes of the weekend sees partner club West Bromwich Albion make the trip to the South Coast to face Southampton. With the Baggies in fifth and just a point and a place behind their hosts an away win at 3/1 would be an excellent result for Carlos Corberan and his men.

Russell Martin has overcome a rocky start to life at Southampton and although his side have relied on some injury time winners of late, they are 87/100 to beat the Baggies with the draw at 27/10.

Ahead of the weekend, Southampton can be backed at 13/5 in our Championship promotion betting market, with West Brom at 6/1, a point ahead of Sunderland whilst the Baggies are 11/8 in our top six finish market.

WATFORD v ROTHERHAM UNITED, SATURDAY 3PM

Only Leeds United (1/4 at home against Plymouth) are a shorter price to win than Watford and whilst Valerien Ismael will feel like it was two points dropped last weekend against Huddersfield, his side will be looking to make amends when they face another Yorkshire outfit in the shape of Rotherham.

The Millers took a surprise point in the week against Ipswich, but with Watford priced at 40/85 they will have their work cut out this weekend. The draw is priced at 10/3 whilst an away win is a whopping 6/1.

Two of the last three league matches Rotherham have been involved in have seen a goal scored in the first ten minutes and you can buy or sell the 1st Goal Minute at 36-39 whilst Total Goal Minutes is priced at 126-136.
