There are five matches this weekend involving our partner clubs in the Championship and we have all the odds and spreads you need to know about ahead of tomorrow’s action.
CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY, SATURDAY 3PM
The bottom seven sides in the Championship are either from Yorkshire or south Wales and two of those sides clash in the Welsh capital as Cardiff play host to Sheffield Wednesday. City find themselves 11/10 favourites for this clash whilst their Yorkshire opponents are 27/10 with the draw at 12/5.
Wednesday haven’t got a point on the board after three matches but neither of these sides have hit the heights going forwards with just five goals between them. The Total Goals spread is 2.3-2.5 whilst Total Goal Minutes is 119-129.
COVENTRY CITY v SUNDERLAND, SATURDAY 3PM
Two sides who finished in the play-offs last season meet in the Midlands this weekend as Tony Mowbray’s Sunderland side travel to Coventry.
Both teams have won one from three and it is Cov who will be looking to make home advantage count with the hosts 23/20 favourites, the draw and an away win are both available to back at 5/2.
Bradley Dack averaged pretty much one goal in three games in the Championship for previous side Blackburn Rovers and he has been boosted to score anytime tomorrow from 13/5 to 16/5. A City win with both sides scoring has also been boosted and can be backed at 7/2 from 29/10.
HUDDERSFIELD TOWN v NORWICH CITY, SATURDAY 3PM
We have two Spreadex derbies this weekend and we head to West Yorkshire for this one as Huddersfield Town’s tough start to the season continues with the visit of Norwich City. The Canaries are flying high at the minute with seven points from an available nine and they are 11/10 favourites for this clash. The Terries are yet to win a game this season and they are 23/10 to get their first victory with the draw at 27/10.
In our spread betting markets Norwich are favoured on the Supremacy spread which is 0.25-0.45 whilst the 1st Match Goal minute spread is 34-37. All of Norwich’s Championship matches this season have seen a goal scored in the 90th minute or later and Total Goal Minutes for Saturday’s match is 139-149.
WEST BROMWICH ALBION v MIDDLESBROUGH, SATURDAY 3PM
Middlesbrough haven’t hit the heights of last season yet and they travel to the Hawthorns as 11/5 outsiders in their clash with West Bromwich Albion. The Baggies secured a valuable away point against Leeds last Friday and are 5/4 to win this clash with the draw at 5/2.
The Teessiders have scored just once in the league this season and a West Brom clean sheet is available at 2/1, a clean sheet for either side is 11/10 and the Total Goals spread can be bought or sold at 2.55-2.75.
WATFORD v BLACKBURN ROVERS, SATURDAY 3PM
Our second all-Spreadex affair sees Blackburn Rovers head to Watford with both sides on four points after three matches. The Hornets, with home advantage on their side, are 11/10 to win this weekend whilst Rovers are 5/2 and the draw is 13/5.
Watford have conceded just once in the league this season and home fans could be tempted into a Watford Win To Nil which can be backed at 11/4 whilst they are even money to score over 1.5 goals.
Alternatively, if you think Blackburn will struggle to break Watford down you can buy or sell the time of Rovers’ first goal at 55.5-58.5 (if the visitors fail to score, this market will settle at 90).
