2023/24 Championship Betting Preview Week 43

betting-preview-landing-page-header

It is crunch time in the Championship with just the final sprint of matches remaining to decide the fate of promotion and relegation, including for several of our partner clubs. This week sees the Sky Sports cameras at Elland Road for the Saturday lunchtime kick-off as partner club Blackburn aim to move away from the danger zone as they face automatic promotion-chasing Leeds.

We preview that and the rest of the Partner Clubs fixtures below, including a Spreadex Derby between principal partners Sunderland and play-off-chasing West Brom.

LEEDS UNITED v BLACKBURN ROVERS, SATURDAY 12:30PM

The first of our partner clubs in action are Blackburn who face Leeds in an interesting online betting heat. The home side currently sit third in the table and just a point off the summit, but have shown some signs of faltering. However, they have been installed as favourites ahead of this one at 1/3 whilst Rovers are out at 7/1 to claim a vital three points in their push for safety. The draw is available at 17/4.

We have several price boosts ahead of the match, including Daniel James to score anytime - NOW 11/5 and Leeds to win 2-0 - NOW 15/2!

In our football spread betting markets, you can buy or sell bookings at 39 - 43 and Total Goal Minutes are available at 151 - 161.

BRISTOL CITY v HUDDERSFIELD TOWN, SATURDAY 3PM

Unfortunately for Huddersfield, they come into this trip to Bristol City with vastly different form if both sides' last match is taken into account. The Terriers fell to a 4-1 defeat against Preston while Bristol City produced a 5-0 demolition of Blackburn. However, with the home side having little to play for this season, the away side will need to muster a big performance in their quest for survival.

The match odds have Bristol City available at 5/4, with Huddersfield or a draw both at 11/5. You can also back both teams to score at 5/6.

MILWALL V CARDIFF CITY, SATURDAY 3PM

Cardiff City travel to London with the knowledge that only three wins from their last three matches will give them any chance of a top six finish, and they will face a tough challenge to do so here after Milwall produced the shock of midweek by beating promotion-chasing Leicester.

As such, the Welsh side are pre-match underdogs with the Supremacy spread of Millwall/Cardiff 0.55 - 0.75. On the fixed odds, the home side are 17/20 with the draw at 11/5 and visitors at 18/5.

In our football spread betting markets, you can buy or sell Total Goals at 2.05 - 2.25 whilst those who prefer a slightly more volatile market may wish to take a look at Goals Cubed which is currently 25 - 29.

PRESTON v NORWICH, SATURDAY 3PM

The Canaries are still flying high in the table and currently occupy the final play-off position but in Preston will be facing a side who are currently five points behind but with a game in hand, meaning this match-up may prove crucial in the run-in. The two sides have also been very evenly matched in recent meetings between them with the last five producing three draws and one win apiece.

Another draw can be backed at 23/10 this weekend with 1-1 priced at 11/2 and 0-0 priced at 8/1. in terms of the Supremacy spread, Norwich come in as slight favourites with a spread of 0.1 - 0.3. The fixed odds match odds have Preston at 19/10 and Norwich at 13/10, with over 2.5 goals at 5/6.

SOUTHAMPTON v WATFORD, SATURDAY 3PM

Watford face a tough trip to promotion-chasing Southampton but seem to have called time on their season will little left to play for, and have produced four consecutive draws - two of them being 2-2 scorelines and the other two being 0-0 stalemates. Interestingly, Watford have now drawn 16 of their 42 matches played - a league high.

Another draw is available at 23/10 here, with a 0-0 stalemate at 8/1 or 2-2 at 11/1. Southampton are favoured to get the win at 2/5 with Watford at 11/2. Total Goal Minutes are available at 158  - 168 with Total Goals at 3.1 - 3.3.

WEST BROM V SUNDERLAND, SATURDAY 3PM

Finally, there is a big Spreadex Derby as promotion-chasing West Brom host Sunderland. Currently holding a nine point cushion from seventh place, the Baggies will be confident of their chances but can make their position a far more secure one with three more points here. The Black Cats on the other hand have collapsed in recent months but should be secure in a mid-table finish with hopes of a more successful campaign next season.

The match odds ahead of this one have the home side at 4/5 to get the win, with the draw at 12/5 and Sunderland at 10/3. The Supremacy spread starts at West Brom/Sunderland 0.55 - 0.75 and we have several price boosts, including West Brom to win 1-0 - NOW 13/2 and Brandon Thomas-Asante to score anytime - NOW 9/5!
