There are six matches this weekend involving our partner clubs in the Championship and we have all the odds and spreads you need to know about ahead of tomorrow’s action.
SUNDERLAND v SOUTHAMPTON, SATURDAY 12:30PM
Three Championship matches kick-off tomorrow lunchtime and Southampton’s long trip north to face our principal partner Sunderland has been selected for Sky Sports coverage.
Saints have collected ten points from four matches in the league this season and they are 7/5 favourites for this clash at the Stadium of Light. Sunderland can be backed at 2/1 whilst the draw is available at 13/5.
Geordie lad Adam Armstrong will be keen to get himself on the scoresheet for the visitors and he has been boosted to 29/10 from 12/5 to score anytime tomorrow.
In our spread betting markets, Total Goals is set at 2.7-2.9 whilst for those who prefer a more volatile spread Total Goal Minutes is available to buy or sell at 137-147.
COVENTRY CITY v WATFORD, SATURDAY 3PM
Watford have been beaten in their last two outings and they head to the Midlands for a clash with Coventry City who drew 0-0 with Sunderland last time out.
The Hornets have seen just two goals scored in their last three matches with under 2.5 goals priced at 5/6 and a 0-0 draw available to back at 8/1. For those who want to get against goals, there are plenty of ways to do it in our spread betting markets.
Total Goals can be sold or bought at 2.55-2.75, Total Goal Minutes is 131-141, and the 1st Match Goal time is 38-41 (if there are no goals then this market settles at 90).
Finally, in the match market, Cov are 23/20 favourites, with Watford at 12/5 and the draw a touch bigger at 13/5.
IPSWICH v CARDIFF CITY, SATURDAY 3PM
Only three sides this weekend are a shorter price to win than Ipswich who are 8/13 to get all three points from their clash with our partner club Cardiff City. The Welsh outfit got their first win of the season last weekend when they beat hapless Sheffield Wednesday but they will find Ipswich a much tougher proposition and the Bluebirds are 17/4 to claim an unlikely victory.
Cardiff fans looking for a wager on their side might look to the double chance market which has Cardiff/draw at 6/5. Both teams to score could well be another bet of interest in this clash which can be backed at 8/11. It has landed in all of Cardiff’s league matches this season whilst Ipswich were beaten 4-3 by Leeds last weekend.
PLYMOUTH ARGYLE v BLACKBURN ROVERS, SATURDAY 3PM
Blackburn Rovers were 8-0 winners midweek in their EFL Cup clash with Harrogate Town but the Lancashire side would no doubt settle for a scrappy 1-0 win when they make the mammoth trek to face Plymouth.
Argyle haven’t won since opening day and they are 17/10 to win tomorrow with Blackburn narrow 29/20 favourites and the draw at 11/4. Steven Schumacher’s side play an attractive style of football and they have seen over 2.5 goals land in three of four Championship matches this season.
The same bet is 4/7 to win this weekend with both teams to score also short at 1/2. Punters may want to cast their eyes to our spread betting markets which sees Plymouth Goals at 1.4-1.6 and Total Goal Minutes at 151-161.
ROTHERHAM UNITED v NORWICH CITY, SATURDAY 3PM
Norwich are 8/11 favourites for their match with Rotherham with the hosts 15/4 and the draw available to back at 3/1.
City have bagged ten goals so far in the league this season and there will certainly be some interest in our Norwich City Goals spread which can be sold or bought at 1.75-1.95. Rotherham have seen an average of just under four goals per game scored in their league matches this season so it is little surprise to see over 2.5 goals backed into 8/11 whilst over 3.5 goals is 7/4.
WEST BROMWICH ALBION v HUDDERSFIELD TOWN, SATURDAY 3PM
Since Carlos Corberan took over at the Hawthorns last season no side has picked up more points at home than his West Brom side and they are 7/10 to win tomorrow when they face Huddersfield Town.
Corberan led the Terriers to within a whisker of the Premier League, but the West Yorkshire outfit have been going through the wringer since he left and they are 15/4 to win this weekend whilst a valuable point for Neil Warnock’s side can be backed at 3/1.
Town have struggled in front of goal this season with just two goals scored in the league and you can back BTTS no at 10/11 and a Baggies win to nil is 7/4.
