Sunderland v Cardiff Betting Preview – Sunday 3pm

Why is the Sunderland game on at 3pm on Sunday but not on tv you may well ask. Well that’s due to England Women v Scotland Women at the Stadium of Light on Friday night (with the Lionesses strong 2/11 favourites and 1.9 – 2.1 on the spread betting Goal Supremacy for that one by the way).

As for Sunday’s game, the Black Cats come off a run of three wins in a row, moving Tony Mowbray’s men into the play-off positions with 11 goals scored in total in those victories. Our Sunderland Team Goals spread betting price is 1.6 – 1.8 meaning you’d need Sunderland to score at least two to turn a profit on a buy, or to score no more than one to make money on a sell.

Other Sunderland football goal spread betting markets proving popular with Spreadex punters include Sunderland Total Goal Minutes (aggregate of the minutes of all Sunderland goals scored in the game) at 82 – 90, Sunderland Leading Minutes (total minutes Sunderland will be leading in the game) at 28 – 31 and Time of 1st Sunderland Goal at 46 – 49 (sell if you think they’ll score before the 46th minute or buy if you think they’ll score their first goal later than that, or not at all when the market makes up at 90).

Cardiff meanwhile have had an upturn in form after a slow-ish start to the campaign with four wins from their last five and again plenty of goals being involved in those matches (19 altogether). No wonder we’ve seen so many customers reaching for their Spreadex betting app to get involved in our Total Goals market at 2.65 – 2.85.

Ipswich v Blackburn Betting Preview – Saturday 3pm

The Tractorboys are on a trundle after promotion from League One last term, so what are the odds on Ipswich getting promoted to the Premier League? Our SkyBet Championship promotion odds show Kieran McKenna’s charges as 17/4 second favourites behind Leicester at 8/5. Leeds are next at 7/1 followed by Norwich and Southampton on 12/1 while the odds on Sunderland getting promoted as champions are 16/1.

When it comes to which teams will reach the playoffs in the Championship, Ipswich are a very-short 2/7 behind the Foxes at 1/5, with Leeds at 4/6, Norwich 19/20, Southampton 21/20 and current leaders Preston at 6/5 ahead of Sunderland at 17/10.

For anyone wondering ‘which side should I put in my weekend football betting accumulator?’ Ipswich will be under consideration by many at 7/10 to win this, while the draw is 16/5 and Blackburn 18/5. The spread betting Goal Supremacy meanwhile is Ipswich/Blackburn 0.75 – 0.95. Ipswich have won their last two games 1-0 and that scoreline is priced at 8/1 while our Total Goals spread betting line is 2.95 – 3.15. Don’t forget about our Acca betting offer, which offers up to a 75% boost on winnings.

When did Blackburn last win at Portman Road? That was way back in November 1994 in a 3-1 win in the top flight and the odds on Rovers repeating that scoreline are 28/1.

Leeds v Watford Betting Preview – Saturday 3pm

Leeds may be ninth in the table and already nine points behind leaders Preston after just seven matches played, but Daniel Farke’s men have only lost once all season and are high up in the Championship promotion odds as noted earlier in this blog.

Since beating Ipswich 4-3 in August, Leeds have only conceded once in four games with two of those matches being 0-0. Leeds to win to nil is 2/1 while another 0-0 draw is 9/1. Our Total Goals spread is 2.7 – 2.9 so a £10 sell at 2.7 would return £27 if the game was scoreless but lose £23 if there ended up being five goals scored in the game.

If you want to find out more about exactly how spread betting works on Total Goals, see our spread betting calculator.

Watford started the season brightly with a 4-0 win over Plymouth but since then have won just one of their last seven. Given the Hornets’ track record of firing managers, boss Valerien Ismael will be nervously hoping he isn’t the next Championship manager to be sacked.

A win is much needed for the Golden Boys however they are 18/5 outsiders to do so, with Leeds 3/4, the draw 3/1 and the spread betting Goal Supremacy Leeds/Watford 0.7 – 0.9.

Plymouth v Norwich Betting Preview – Saturday 3pm

Norwich are usually among the pack when it comes to most people’s Championship promotion predictions and David Wagner’s side find themselves handily placed in 5th place in the table despite two defeats in their last three.

Canaries fans may be excused for asking ‘when was the last time Norwich played Plymouth at Home Park?’ That’s because it was way back in September 2008 in a 2-1 Championship win and that same outcome is priced at 15/2 with Spreadex Sports.

Norwich are even money for the win, the draw 14/5, Plymouth 5/2 and the spread betting Goal Supremacy Norwich/Plymouth 0.35 – 0.55. Find out more on exactly how Supremacy spread betting works here.

After a 3-1 opening day win over Huddersfield, the Pilgrims have found times tougher with only one league win since and five losses in their last six outings. But who are the favourites for relegation from the Championship? Our Championship Points predictions have Rotherham ending the season on 41 – 43, Sheffield Wednesday on 43 – 45, QPR on 49 – 51, Huddersfield on 49.5 – 51.5 and Plymouth on 51.5 – 53.5. For any of these markets, sell if you think the team will get less than the prediction, or buy if you think they will end up with more points than the spread.

West Bromwich Albion v Millwall Betting Preview – Saturday 3pm

Just one win in their last five and only two victories all season has left the Baggies in 15th place in the table after seven games.

However, not many punters would bet against Carlos Corberan’s charges repeating their antics of last season that saw them recover from a slow start. In terms of a top 6 finish come the end of the season, West Brom are 13/5 in our Championship play-off odds.

For this game, the Baggies are 11/10, the draw 12/5 and Millwall 11/4 with the spread betting Goal Supremacy West Brom/Millwall 0.3 – 0.5. In the three previous games played at the Hawthorns so far this season there have been a total of 14 goals and we have the Total Goals spread betting line at 2.35 – 2.55.

Before their 3-0 midweek win over Rotherham, Millwall had only previously scored four times in seven matches. We have their Total Goal Minutes at 48 – 56 here.

Coventry v Huddersfield Betting Preview – Monday 8pm

The latest matchday action concludes with the Terriers making the trip to Coventry in the Championship on Sky Sports.

With no Premier League match on Monday night, this clash will no doubt be the focus for the online betting community looking to make the most of their in-play betting opportunities.

With Neil Warnock departing after the 2-2 midweek draw with Stoke, who is the new Huddersfield Town manager? That would be Darren Moore, keen to prove his value as a boss in the Championship as he was robbed of that opportunity after parting ways with Sheffield Wednesday not long after guiding them to playoff promotion from League One in May.

Huddersfield are 7/2 to get Moore’s reign off to a winning start. The draw is 11/4 with Coventry 4/5 favourites. The spread betting Goal Supremacy is Coventry/Huddersfield 0.6 – 0.8. Coventry though have only one win in eight so far this season, so is it too easy to say the bet of the day for the start of next week would be to back Moore to get off to a winning start at the Coventry Arena?
