CHAMPIONSHIP BETTING PREVIEW WEEK 12

The games are coming thick and fast for the EFL sides and a jam packed weekend is previewed in this betting blog, starting with a Friday night lights clash on the south coast.

PORTSMOUTH v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY 8PM

A 2-0 defeat on the road to Cardiff during the week saw Portsmouth slump to the bottom of the table and they welcome partner club Sheffield Wednesday to Fratton Park this evening.

Wednesday are just four points better off than Pompey in the league, but Danny Rohl’s side can be backed to win at 23/20 tonight with the hosts 23/10 and the draw also priced up at 23/10.

We have a few boosted bets on this evening’s action with a 1-0 win for the visitors 15/2 from 13/2 and with 8 goals in 81 league appearances for Portsmouth, Marlon Pack is 70/1 from 40/1 to score a free-kick this evening.

WATFORD v BLACKBURN ROVERS, SATURDAY 12:30PM

Three losses in their last four matches has seen Watford fall out of the play-offs but they head into this weekend’s clash with Blackburn as narrow 6/4 favourites.

Both clubs are amongst our partners, with Rovers clinging on to the last of the play-off spots, three places and three points above the Hornets. You can back a win for the Lancashire side at 7/4, whilst the draw can be backed at 9/4.

In our football spread betting markets, Total Goals can be bought or sold at 2.65-2.85 with Goals Cubed available to buy or sell at 44-51.

PRESTON NORTH END v PLYMOUTH ARGYLE, SATURDAY 3PM

Partner club Preston are unbeaten in four league matches and they travel to a Plymouth side who were beaten 5-0 by Cardiff last weekend and 1-0 by Millwall during the week.

North End are marginal favourites in this one with an away win chalked up at 6/4, a home win backable at 13/8 and the draw at 23/10. You can back Plymouth to continue their goalscoring woes with Preston to win to nil at 7/2 whilst either side not to score is 6/5.

SWANSEA CITY v MILLWALL, SATURDAY 3PM

Sellers on the Total Goal Minutes football spread betting market have been in clover in Swansea’s last four league matches with a pair of 0-0 draws being joined by a brace of 1-0 defeats for the Swans.

Travelling to South Wales this weekend are Millwall who are unbeaten in their last three and hover just outside the top half of the table under the stewardship of club legend Neil Harris. Our partner club from the capital are 15/8 to win this weekend with a Swansea win at 29/20.

A third 0-0 in five matches for Swansea can be backed at 13/2.

WEST BROMWICH ALBION v CARDIFF CITY, SATURDAY 3PM

Back-to-back wins have seen Cardiff climb off the foot of the table and out of the bottom three, but their mini-revival may well grind to a halt this weekend then they travel to partner club West Bromwich Albion.

The Baggies haven’t won in five games and have failed to find the back of the net in three of their last four clashes, however, our traders expect them to get the job done tomorrow at 8/13.

City, for their part, are priced up at 15/4 with the draw at 29/10.

SUNDERLAND v OXFORD UNITED, SATURDAY 3PM

Also expected to get a relatively comfortable win this weekend are principal partners Sunderland who entertain Oxford at the Stadium of Light. The Mackems top the league by three points and they have shortened to 5/1 in our Championship winner odds, whilst they can be backed at 11/10 to secure promotion.

As for this weekend, they are 6/11 to beat an Oxford side who secure the majority of their points at the Kasam Stadium, with an away win chalked up at 23/5 and the draw at 29/10.

NORWICH CITY v MIDDLESBROUGH, SUNDAY 3PM

Despite lying in eighth place, only Leeds and Sunderland are shorter than Middlesbrough’s price of 10/1 in our Championship winner betting and Boro face the side directly above them in the table this weekend.

The Teessiders make the long trip to face partner club Norwich this weekend in what could be a real humdinger of a clash, with just goal difference separating the two sides. In terms of the betting, an away win can be backed at 7/5, a home win is 9/5 and the draw can be backed at 23/10.

Scottish forward Tommy Conway has two goals from his four starts for Boro and he has been boosted to score this weekend from 6/4 to 9/5.
