With six of our eight partner clubs in the top ten, it has been a good season so far for the Spreadex group and we run through the seven matches involving our sides this weekend , starting with a Spreadex derby at Hillsborough.
Two of our partners go head-to-head at Hillsborough tomorrow with draw specialists Preston North End making the trip across the Pennines to South Yorkshire.
After a slow start to the season, Danny Rohl’s Sheffield Wednesday side have been rising up the league and they sit just inside the top half. They are a shade of odds on to keep the good times going this weekend with a home win priced at 10/11 whilst what would be just a fourth win of the season for Preston is 3/1.
Only West Bromwich Albion have a higher tally of draws (ten) than Preston’s nine and you can back the draw at 23/10 and we also have some boosted bets with Michael Smith 7/4 from 29/20 to score anytime for the hosts.
Having been drawn against each other in the third round of the FA Cup, Stoke will face principal partners Sunderland three times in their next nine matches and they are 7/2 to get the trilogy off to a winning start.
Regis Le Bris’ side have fallen away in recent weeks and their winless run stretches back to October, but they have been made 3/4 favourites to get a win on Wearside.
In our football spread betting markets, Total Goals can be bought or sold at 2.5-2.7 with Total Goal Minutes available to buy or sell at 126-136.
After a run of four wins in six matches, Cardiff are now winless in their last five as they prepare to face partner club Watford this weekend.
Tom Cleverley’s side are one of the surprise packages of the season in the Championship, yet they are the 2/1 outsiders in this one, with Watford draw no bet available to back at 6/5.
A home win for the Bluebirds can be backed at 6/5, but with QPR the only side to score fewer goals in the league than Cardiff, a couple of spread betting markets may be worth a look. You can buy or sell Cardiff goals at 1.45-1.65 whilst the minute of the first Cardiff goal can be traded at 47-50 (spread settles at 90 if Cardiff fail to score).
Three wins on the spin, including a pair of 1-0 successes against high flying Yorkshire duo Middlesbrough and Leeds has recharged Blackburn’s play-off bid and they will be looking to make it a hat-trick of Yorkshire scalps when they travel to Hull this weekend.
City are in the midst of a dismal run of form and the Tigers are without a win in their last ten league matches. Surprisingly then, the hosts are narrow 29/20 favourites for this clash with a fourth Rovers win on the bounce priced at 17/10 and the draw available at 23/10.
Just one of Blackburn’s last eight matches has seen over 2.5 goals scored and you can back the unders run to continue at 8/11 whilst the Total Goals spread has been set at 2.45-2.65.
Frank Lampard needed a late penalty to salvage a draw with Cardiff in his first game in charge of Coventry and the former West Ham and Chelsea player will surely get a warm reception this weekend when he takes his charges to Millwall.
Our partner club in the capital have drawn three in a row, but Neil Harris is doing an impressive job in his second spell in charge at The Den. With Millwall in tenth spot and five points outside of the play-offs, there will be plenty of Lions jumping on the 31/20 on a home win.
The sacking of Mark Robins seemed mystifying form the outside, but if Lampard fires City up the table it will be a masterstroke from the ownership at the CBS Arena. Cov are 19/10 to get their first win in six matches with the draw priced up at 19/10.
Despite lying in mid-table, partner club Norwich City are the highest scores in the division with 35 goals from their 18 matches and the Canaries attackers will be looking to fill their boots this weekend as they travel to second-bottom QPR.
The 1X2 markets see QPR priced at 19/10, the away win at 13/10 and the draw available to back at 9/4.
Goals will be the focus for this match however, with the time of the first Norwich available to buy or sell at 50.5-53.5, the Goals Cubed spread has been set at 39-45 whilst Total Norwich Goals can be traded at 1.3-1.5.
The Sunday 3pm matchday slot isn’t popular with travelling Championship fans, but West Brom fans will accept it if it means getting a win over Sheffield United at 7/5 this weekend.
The Baggies have ten draws from their 18 league games and the draw at 21/10 is certainly a live runner whilst an away win to keep Sheffield United top of the league has drifted out from 7/4 to 19/10.
There are rarely many goals in West Brom matches, though former Sunderland man Josh Maja has scored ten of his side’s 19 goals and the Londoner has been boosted from 17/10 to 2/1 to add to his tally this weekend.
