2024/25 Championship Betting Preview Week 24

Christmas may well have passed and New Year's Day is fast approaching, but there's lots to look forward to before then as the Championship continues at a frenetic pace. Who will go into 2025 in perfect fashion? We preview all of the action involving our Partner Clubs in today’s betting blog, starting with the early Sunday kick-off at Carrow Road.
NORWICH v QPR, SUNDAY 12:30PM
Norwich managed to put an end to their five-match winless run with a defeat of Millwall on Boxing Day and they will be looking to slay another set of London visitors here, which could see them end the year in the top half and potentially make a push for the promotion places in 2025.
QPR's fortunes are almost a polar opposite as an impressive unbeaten run was abruptly ended on Boxing Day with a 3-0 defeat to Swansea. A home win here for Norwich is available at 3/4 while an away win for QPR is 10/3 and the draw is 27/10.
PRESTON V SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY, SUNDAY 3PM
Two of our Partner Clubs face off at Deepdale as Preston host Sheffield Wednesday with both sides looking to close the year out with three important points. The hosts have been one of the league's draw specialists this year with a hefty 11, but managed a win and a clean sheet in their 1-0 success over Hull on Boxing Day. Meanwhile, the visitors showed admirable resolve to overcome a 3-0 deficit to grab a 3-3 draw away at Middlesbrough.
A cagey affair might be expected here with none of the previous five H2Hs featuring over 2.5 goals, with under 1.5 in four of those. Both Teams Not to Score is available here at 4/5. In terms of the match odds, the draw is at 2/1 with the visitors at the same price and a home win at 29/20.
SHEFFIELD UTD V WEST BROM, SUNDAY 3PM
High-flying Sheffield Utd's long unbeaten run was ended in disappointing and fairly limp fashion at Bramall Lane on Boxing Day as fellow title-chasers Burnley defeated the Blades 2-0, but West Brom also faced frustration as they fell to a 2-1 defeat against Derby.
The Baggies currently sit just two points from the play-off places albeit having played a game more than sixth-placed Watford, and will be hopeful of a positive result here to avoid losing more significant ground as we head into a new year.
We've priced up this match with a Supremacy of 0.4 - 0.6 for the hosts, which translates to 19/20 on the fixed odds. The draw is at 9/4 and West Brom are at 14/5. We also have PRICE BOOSTS for this match, including Kieffer Moore to Score Anytime - NOW 2/1, and Jayson Molumby to be Carded Anytime - NOW 6/4!
BLACKBURN ROVERS v HULL, SUNDAY 3PM
Blackburn remain firmly in the hunt for the play-off positions this season, sitting in fifth as the year draws to a close, and are coming off the back of a morale-boosting last-ditch equaliser against fellow contenders and Spreadex Partners Sunderland on Boxing Day. However, after six straight wins, it's now two matches without a victory for Rovers, and the visit of strugglers Hull may well present a decent chance to rectify the mini-slump.
Hull are having a fairly disappointing season so far, and currently sit in the relegation zone, a point behind Portsmouth in safety but having played two matches more. As such, it may soon become imperative that more ground isn't lost. The match odds for this one have Blackburn favoured at Evens, the draw at 23/10 and Hull at 27/10.
STOKE V SUNDERLAND, SUNDAY 3PM
Principal partners Sunderland let slip what would have been a crucial win over Blackburn on Boxing Day with a last-minute goal, but the Black Cats still sit in a respectable position in the league and will surely be pleased with their year's work if they can end 2024 with a victory here, which could see them close the gap to the top of the league.
While 'away on a cold day/night at Stoke' has never been seen as a desirable visit, the Potters are really struggling at the moment and have gone on a nine-match winless run, as well as losing the last two H2Hs between these sides. Albeit, the last one that the Potters hosted, they came away with a 2-1 win.
The match odds have Stoke at 21/10, the draw at 23/10 and Sunderland at 6/5. BTTS is available at 8/11.
WATFORD v CARDIFF CITY, SUNDAY 3PM
Watford showed a sting in the tail for visitors Portsmouth on Boxing Day as the Hornets came from behind for a 2-1 victory, and will be hoping to give the Vicarage Road faithful another victory to end the year with as fellow Spreadex Partners Cardiff make the trip from Wales.
While the hosts now sit in the play-off places, The Bluebirds have been struggling badly and sit down in 18th in the midst of a nine-match winless run. Interestingly, the visitors have defeated the hosts in both of the most recent meetings at Vicarage Road.
Both sides' Boxing Day fixtures saw over 2.5 goals scored, and this is available at 4/5 ahead of this one. Watford begin with a Supremacy of 0.4 - 0.6, with Total Goals at 2.6 - 2.8.
COVENTRY CITY V MILLWALL, SUNDAY 3PM
Finally, Partner Club Millwall travel to Coventry and will be looking to turn the tables against a side that has beaten them on the last four occasions they've met, including 1-0 earlier this month in the reverse fixture at The Den.
Ahead of this one, The Sky Blues are again favoured to hold the advantage with a Supremacy spread of 0.55 - 0.75, or 3/4 on the fixed odds. Millwall are available at 10/3, with the draw at 5/2.
