landing-page-cship-blog

The 2024/25 Championship season heads into its third weekend and the Sky Sports cameras will be at four grounds this weekend, starting with Friday night's match between Partner Club Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds, where Wednesday will look to bounce back from last weekend's heavy defeat to Sunderland.

We preview that and the rest of the Partner Clubs fixtures from Matchweek 3 below!

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY v leeds, friday 8PM

Sheffield Wednesday kick off the action tonight and will look to find some consistency after a topsy-turvy start to the new season. A hugely impressive 4-0 win over Plymouth in the season opener was then followed by a 4-0 reverse against Sunderland last week, while visitors Leeds have flattered to deceive so far with two draws from two, and the Whites have slipped to second-favourites to win the Championship.

In terms of the match odds here, the home side begin as underdogs with a Leeds Supremacy spread of 0.6 - 0.8. On the fixed odds, Sheff Weds are 16/5 with the draw at 11/4 and Leeds at 4/5. We also have several PRICE BOOSTS, including Mateo Joseph to Score Anytime - NOW 2/1!

In our football spread betting markets, you can buy or sell Total Goals at 2.65 - 2.85 and Total Goal Minutes are available at 134 - 144.

SUNDERLAND V BURNLEY, SATURDAY 3PM

Principal partners Sunderland have started the new season excellently with two wins from two and zero goals conceded, but will face a huge challenge here against visiting Burnley who have also started the season perfectly, sitting top of the league on goals scored and now the betting favourites to win this season's Championship.

The match odds for this Stadium of Light clash have the home side as slight underdogs with a Burnley Supremacy spread of 0.1 - 0.3. On the fixed odds, the Black Cats are 2/1 with the draw at 23/10 and Burnley at 13/10. Burnley won their last visit to this ground and you can back them to win 1-0 at a BOOSTED price of 9/1.

WATFORD V DERBY, SATURDAY 3PM

Watford are the only other side aside from Sunderland and Burnley to have won both of their opening league matches and the Hornets will look to extend their winning streak (including their win in the EFL Cup) to four matches as they host Derby at Vicarage Road. The home side defeated the visitors 2-1 at this ground last season, and are on a three-match unbeaten run in the H2H (2W, 1D).

The match odds ahead of this one have Watford available at 17/20, with Derby at 3/1 or a draw at 13/5. Four of the last five meetings have seen both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals. You can back BTTS here at 8/11 while Over 2.5 Goals is 4/5. Watford to win 1-0 has been BOOSTED to 8/1.

STOKE V west brom, SATURDAY 3PM

West Brom have had a mixed start to the season so far with a win and a draw from their league matches but crashing out of the EFL Cup, and the Baggies will look to grab a second away win in the league after their 3-1 success at QPR on the opening day. Stoke were thoroughly outclassed 3-0 by Watford last time out and will need to massively improve here in front of their own fans.

The match odds are extremely tight in this one with a Stoke Supremacy spread of -0.1 - 0.1, with the fixed odds prices on match odds West Brom at 7/4, Stoke at 8/5 and the draw at 21/10. Both Teams to Score is available at 5/6.

blackburn V OXFORD UNITED, SATURDAY 3PM

High-scoring Blackburn have had a solid start to the season with a win and a draw in their league fixtures and a win in the cup, and they will now look to keep up the momentum as they host Oxford United, but they will be keen to shore up their backline after already conceding five goals this season.

In terms of the Supremacy spread, Blackburn come in as solid favourites here with a spread of 0.65 - 0.85. The fixed odds match odds have the home side at 8/11 and Oxford Utd at 17/5, with the draw at 14/5. The last H2H at Ewood Park saw Blackburn claim a 2-1 win and the same result here can be backed at 7/1.

NORWICH V SHEFFIELD UNITED, SATURDAY 3PM

Norwich host new Spreadex brand partner club Sheffield United in the lone Spreadex Derby of this week, and both sides will fancy their chances in an evenly-matched contest, although the home side have not had a great start to the season and are still in search of their first win.

A defeat on the opening day and a 2-2 draw against Blackburn last time out leaves plenty of room for improvement, while the visiting Blades won their opener before a 2-2 draw as well in their last league fixture. The Canaries are winless in the last five meetings with Utd and the match odds have Norwich at 7/4, Sheff Utd at 29/20 and the draw at 5/2.

PRESTON v luton, SATURDAY 3PM

Preston will be hosting Luton for their fixture this weekend and will be desperate to kick their season into gear after losing both of their league matches so far, including a 3-0 reversal to Swansea last time out. The visitors haven't fared much better but do have a solitary point on the board.

Only one of the last five H2Hs between these sides have ended as a draw, but that happened in the last meeting. You can back a repeat of that 1-1 result at 11/2 here. Total Goal Minutes are available at 128  - 138 with Total Goals at 2.55 - 2.75. 1st Match Goal is available at 35 - 38.

hull V MILLWALL, SATURDAY 12.30PM

And finally, Millwall face another trip on the road from London as they take on Hull in the early kick-off on Saturday. The Lions have had a torrid start to the campaign so far with two losses but did grab a win in the EFL Cup. Hull, meanwhile, crashed out of the cup but have got two points on the board from their opening two league draws.

The match odds ahead of this one have Millwall available at 23/10, with the draw also 23/10 and Hull at 23/20. 1st Match Goal is available at 36 - 39, with both teams to score at 4/5.
