Can Liverpool extend their Premier League unbeaten run when they travel to Wolves on Friday? With Man City slipping up against Chelsea, the Reds have been rewarded for their dogged domestic determination just before Christmas. And while they are yet to overtake the defending champions in terms of goals scored, they still have the tightest defence in the league, conceding just 7 goals in 17 games. And there’s no sign of them slowing down, with last Sunday seeing a comfortable 3-1 win over Man United and the death knell for Jose Mourinho’s time up north. Wolves, meanwhile, seem to be out the other side of an autumnal wobble. Since December began they’ve won 3 on the trot, including that shock victory over Chelsea. Yet they may struggle against the league leaders, with Spreadex offering a Liverpool/Wolves (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.95-1.15 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.5-2.7. Saturday lunchtime then sees Arsenal host Burnley in an attempt to get things back on track. After racking up a 22 game unbeaten streak across all competitions, the Gunners have gone and lost 2 in a row, their 3-2 defeat in Southampton followed by a mid-week EFL Cup exit at the hands of Tottenham. Compared to Burnley, however, Arsenal have nothing to worry about. The Clarets are a long way from last season’s 7th place finish, now stuck in 18th and facing relegation. Things likely won’t get any better on Saturday, with Spreadex offering an Arsenal/Burnley Goal Supremacy spread of 1.85-2.05 alongside a Total Goals spread of 3.25-3.45. It is going to be fascinating to see how Sunday pans out for Man United, who travel to Cardiff under new management. Mourinho’s out, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s in, with the Champions League-winning ace stepping away from his job at Molde to look after United until the end of the season. His first game in charge will be at Neil Warnock’s Cardiff, who are lurking above the relegation zone but have won their last 3 homes games. That mini-ran may come to an end on Sunday, with Spreadex offering a Man United/Cardiff (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.9-1.1 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.7-2.9. Finally, can Everton turn around a winless December when they host Tottenham? Though not the easiest run of fixtures, the Toffees have become a bit stuck in the last few weeks. Sandwiched between losses to Liverpool and Man City were Goodison Park draws against Newcastle and Watford. As for Spurs, they rebounded from their month-opening defeat to Arsenal quite nicely. League wins over Southampton, Leicester and Burnley, a draw against Barcelona at the Nou Camp and a bit of revenge against the Gunners in the EFL Cup makes them the favourites going into Sunday. Spreadex are offering a Tottenham/Everton (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.15-0.35 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.75-2.95.
