With just 2 games to go it is all still to play for in the Championship – can any of Norwich, Sheffield and Leeds secure automatic promotion this weekend? The Canaries currently top the league on 88 points, 3 ahead of the Blades (but one behind in terms of goal difference), who themselves have 3 points on Leeds. That means all of them can still reach the Premier League without having to go through the Wembley route, with Norwich – who have actually only just overtaken Leeds in terms of weeks spent in 1st place – the most likely candidates,
Sheffield United are first up on Saturday, when they host Ipswich at 5.15pm on Sky Sports Football. The Blues are the worst side in the Championship, and are already relegated, meaning, on paper, Chris Wilder’s lot shouldn’t have too many issues, hence why Spreadex are offering a Sheffield United/Ipswich Goal Supremacy spread of 2.05-2.25, alongside a Total Goals spread of 3.05-3.25. With United holding a blade to their throat, Norwich then take on Blackburn at 7.30pm on Sky Sports Football. The Rovers appeared to be firmly out the other side of their terrible run across February and March, picking up 4 consecutive wins over Derby, Nottingham Forest, QPR and Bolton. The Canaries, meanwhile, might not have lost in their last 12 games, but they’ve now drawn 4 times on the trot, meaning Saturday’s result isn’t necessarily as clear cut as it might seem. Nevertheless, Spreadex are offering a Norwich/Blackburn Goal Supremacy spread of 1.4-1.6, alongside a Total Goals spread of 3.2-3.4. Finally, Sunday sees Leeds face Aston Villa at 12pm on Sky Sports Football. An inconsistent showing in 2019, including losses to Wigan and Brentford in their last 2 games, means the Whites need a healthy dose of good fortune if they are to avoid the play-offs. Villa, meanwhile, will merely want to strengthen their standing ahead of their guaranteed trip to Wembley. The hosts are still favourites, despite their recent dip in form, with Spreadex offering a Leeds/Aston Villa Goal Supremacy spread of 0.55-0.75, alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.95-3.15.
