Will there be yet another change at the top following this weekend’s Premier League fixtures? Things kick-off at 12.30pm on Saturday, when Manchester City travel to Burnley on BT Sport 1. City were frustrated in Germany mid-week, a 1-1 draw against Borussia Monchengladbach guaranteeing Guardiola and co. will finish behind Barcelona in their Champions League group. Domestically City’s form has also been a bit spotty; their last 6 games have seen 1 loss, 2 wins and 3 draws, dragging them back to 3rd from 1st place. They shouldn’t have too many troubles this weekend, however. Though they beat Liverpool and held Manchester United at Old Trafford, Burnley collapsed on Monday, losing 4-0 to West Brom. The Clarets may be in for another drubbing on Saturday, with Spreadex offering a Manchester City/Burnley Goal Supremacy spread of 1.7-1.9 alongside a Total Goals spread of 3.2-3.4. Two of the Premier League’s most impressive records this season then go head-to-head on Saturday afternoon, when Chelsea host Tottenham at 5.30pm on BT Sport 1. Spurs are yet to be beaten in the league, though they have drawn half their fixtures; the Blues, meanwhile, are currently top of the table and haven’t conceded a goal in their last 6 games. They also have the league’s top scorer, Diego Costa’s 10 goals (he is the only forward to be in double figures) leaving him with a Super Mega PGM of 43-50; Harry Kane, on the other hand, has half that amount, and sits at a spread of 28-33. The big difference on Saturday could well be related to Tottenham’s European misadventure – Pochettino will have to make sure his side don’t deflate after being booted out of the Champions League at nearly the earliest point possible on Tuesday. The fog of Spurs’ mid-week failure works in the hosts’ favour, with Spreadex offering a Chelsea/Tottenham Goal Supremacy spread of 0.65-0.85 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.75-2.95. One imagines Sunday’s first game will be a bit less intense, as Stoke travel to Watford at 12pm on Sky Sports 1. Bar a bright spell in October, with wins over the relegation-trio of Sunderland, Swansea and Hull, Stoke have looked pretty dreadful this season. Despite sitting in 13th place they are only 3 points above 18th place Hull, and a loss this weekend may well drag them into the danger zone. Watford, meanwhile, recovered from their humiliating 6-1 loss to Liverpool fairly well last Saturday, beating the struggling Leicester 2-1. That leaves them in 8th place, with only 1 point less than Manchester United, a nice little improvement on where they finished last season. If they are to keep in the top 10 than these are the games the Hornets need to be winning, with Spreadex offering a Watford/Stoke Goal Supremacy spread of 0.1-0.3 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.4-2.6. After failing to perform in yet another big game, can Arsenal ensure the month ends on a high with a win over Bournemouth at 2.15pm on Sky Sports 1? That bitter 2-2 result against PSG means that the Gunners will most likely finish in 2nd in Group A, condemning them to yet another tough draw in the last 16. It also marked Arsenal’s 3rd draw in a row; admittedly an improvement on their usual November collapse, but still not a great run for the ostensible title-chasers. Luckily for Arsenal Sunday’s opponents don’t pose too much of a challenge. Bournemouth have chugged along in the middle of the table, failing to produce any real surprises. They’ve also only won once on the road this season, leading our Spreadex traders to offer an Arsenal/Bournemouth Goal Supremacy spread of 1.25-1.45 alongside a Total Goals spread of 3-3.2. Finally, will Ronald Koeman rub salt into Southampton’s wound when Everton travel down to St Mary’s at 4.30pm on Sky Sports 1? While things have begun to crumble in the last couple of months, with Everton winning just one of their last 7 league games, the Toffees’ still seem pretty happy with their Dutch manager. That happiness may be tested, however, if they lose to Southampton on Sunday. As for the Saints, well, things haven’t been great since Koeman left. They’ve only won 3 times in the league, while they head into their final Europa League group game needing a result against Hapoel Be’er Sheva, a side that did the double over Inter Milan, to ensure safe passage into the last 32. Yet despite their Europa League fatigue the Saints still stand a chance of making Koeman regret his decision, Spreadex offering a Southampton/Everton Goal Supremacy spread of 0.25-0.45 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.35-2.55.
