Can Man City reach the Champions League last 16 with a game to spare AND get revenge over Lyon when they travel to France, at 8pm on BT Sport 3? The Premier League leaders have been outrageous in November. In just 5 games in all competitions they’ve scored 21 goals while conceding twice, that run including 6-1 and 6-0 batterings of Southampton and Shakhtar Donetsk at the Etihad. What’s even more impressive is the breadth of the club’s attacking options. Sergio Aguero, on 11 goals total, sits at a mega Super Mega PGM of 65-74, while David Silva and Raheem Sterling, both on 8, are at 22-27 and 31-37. That’s not all, with Riyad Mahrez and Leroy Sane, positively slacking with 6 and 5 goals respectively, at 30-36. If any team is going to halt this City steamroller, it could be Lyon, the only side this season to have beaten Pep Guardiola’s lot. Then again, maybe not; since that shock 2-1 victory in Manchester the French club have drawn all 3 of their subsequent Champions League matches, leaving them 3 points adrift of their Tuesday opponents in Group F. Given the visitors’ current form the hosts could be in for an absolute hammering, with Spreadex offering a Man City/Lyon (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 1.35-1.55 alongside an average target price of 3.3-3.5. As for Man United, they too can secure a place in the next round if they beat Young Boys, at 8pm on BT Sport 2. This month’s been just as mixed for United as any other this season; the undoubted highlight was that late victory over Juventus 3 weeks ago, a snatched win that kept their Champions League hopes alive. On the other end of the spectrum, a 3-1 loss at Man City, and a goalless draw against Crystal Palace last weekend, not only keeps them 7 points adrift of the Premier League top 4, but a whopping 14 off their Manc neighbours. In theory they shouldn’t have too many issues against their Swiss opponents, however, with Spreadex offering a Man United/Young Boys Goal Supremacy spread of 1.75-1.95 alongside a Total Goals spread of 3.15-3.35.
