Can Rochdale make the most of their Wembley pay day when they face Tottenham in their FA Cup 5th round replay this Wednesday? Spurs’ trip to the Spotland Stadium a couple of weeks ago resulted in arguably one of the most surprising results of that weekend’s Cup fixtures. Tottenham actually headed into half time 1-0 down thanks to a 45th minute strike from Ian Henderson, before drawing level around the hour mark with Lucas Moura’s first ever goal for his new club. Harry Kane then looked to have things sewn up after converting an 88th minute penalty, only for Steve Davies to send The Dale doolally by forcing a replay with effectively the final kick of the game. What makes the result all the more shocking is that Rochdale aren’t just any League One side. No, they’re a League One side sitting at the very bottom of the table, 11 points adrift of any sense of safety. Granted Keith Hill’s men have 4 games in hand over 20th place Fleetwood Town, but still, given they’ve won just once in their last 11 league appearances, they’re on the ropes. As for Tottenham, despite their stuttering progress through the FA Cup they haven’t lost a match in all competitions since 16th December. That 15 game run – which takes in the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League – has seen Harry Kane in truly luminous form, the English forward scoring 17 goals to take his season total to 35. It’s understandable, then, that Kane goes into Wednesday’s replay with a colossal Super Mega PGM spread of 117-142, around 20 times that of Ian Henderson’s 7-10. Of course there’s every change Kane won’t make an appearance, giving a chance for Fernando Llorente, who’s at 80-95, to try and up his meagre 2 goal tally. Spurs have only lost at Wembley twice all season, and that looks unlikely to change this time out, with Spreadex offering a rather conclusive Tottenham/Rochdale Goal Supremacy spread of 2.8-3 alongside a Total Goals spread of 3.65-3.85.
