With another international break looming, how will the Premier League table look by the end of the weekend? Saturday kicks off with what, on paper, should be a relatively simple task for Tottenham, who travel to Huddersfield at 12.30pm on Sky Sports. It was another impressive European performance for Spurs on Tuesday, their (expected) 3-0 win over APOEL fuelled by a hat-trick from Harry Kane. That took him to 9 goals so far this season, and he’ll be aiming to get into double-digits this weekend, at a Super Mega PGM of 69-79. While they’re yet to face a top 5 test, Huddersfield have had a pretty decent start to their Premier League debut. They’ve lost just once, to West Ham, picking up wins over Crystal Palace and Newcastle, and draws against Southampton, Leicester and Burnley, keeping 4 clean sheets in 6 league games. That may prove tough to do on Saturday, however, with Spreadex offering a Tottenham/Huddersfield (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 1.3-1.5 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.7-2.9. Later that day is easily the weekend’s biggest game, as defending champions Chelsea host arguable title frontrunners Man City at 5.30pm on BT Sport 1. City have looked pretty damn tasty of late. In September they’ve scored 16 league goals in 3 games, and 6 in 2 in the Champions League. They will, however, be missing their main man on Saturday; Sergio Aguero was in a car crash on Thursday night, at the very least ruling him out of the trip to Stamford Bridge. Luckily they still have Gabriel Jesus, who sits at a Super Mega PGM of 32-38. Though they haven’t been quite as strong as City, Chelsea have arguably been tested more than their weekend opponents. Most recently they proved their European mettle, stealing a 2-1 win against Atletico Madrid thanks to a last minute strike from Michy Batshuayi. The young Belgian heads into Saturday at a Super Mega PGM of 32-38, trailing only Alvaro Morata at 32-38. This heavyweight clash is almost too close to call, but the hosts have the edge, at a Chelsea/Man City Goal Supremacy spread of 0-0.2 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.7-2.9. A busy Sunday then opens with an eminently winnable game for Arsenal, who take on Brighton at 12pm on Sky Sports. While they are yet to fully dispel their potentially matching-ruining nerviness, the Gunners have gradually improved in the last couple of weeks. Monday’s 2-0 win over West Brom gave Alexandre Lacazette (who sits at a Super Mega PGM of 69-79) his first Arsenal brace, while Wednesday’s 4-2 victory against BATE Borisov continued their strong Europa League start despite Wenger fielding an ostensibly weaker side. Like Huddersfield, Brighton can be quietly pleased with their Premier League debut. They’ve looked good at home, beating West Brom and Newcastle, and picked up an away draw against Watford. However, their first visit to the Emirates is unlikely to be much fun, with Spreadex offering an Arsenal/Brighton Goal Supremacy spread of 1.8-2 alongside a Total Goals spread of 3.05-3.25. After yet another European embarrassment an increasingly desperate Everton host Burnley at 2.15pm on Sky Sports. Thursday’s visit from Apollon Limassol should have been an easy way to build on league and EFL Cup wins over Bournemouth and Sunderland respectively. Instead Everton bottled it, letting the Cypriots equalise with 2 minutes to go – despite them having 10 men – to end up with a 2-2 draw. At least Wayne Rooney scored, the former England captain heading into Sunday with a Super Mega PGM of 30-36.As for Burnley, they seem to have accrued a steeliness that was severely lacking last season. They beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in their opening game and got draws from Tottenham, Liverpool and, less impressively, Huddersfield, their one loss coming against West Brom. Given their opponents current form they could easily frustrate the Toffees, despite Spreadex offering an Everton/Burnley Goal Supremacy spread of 0.75-0.95 with a Total Goals spread of 2.3-2.5. Finally, Liverpool will be looking to be a bit more clinical then they have in recent weeks when they travel to Newcastle at 4.30pm on Sky Sports. Wednesday’s Champions League draw against Spartak Moscow was the latest example of Liverpool’s scintillating front line – including Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane at Super Mega PGMs of 32-38 and 31-37 respectively – lacking the final product. Add onto that their defensive frailties, and you have the kind of side that can beat Arsenal 4-0 one week and lose 5-0 to Man City a fortnight later. Newcastle, meanwhile, have had a bit of an odd start. An opening loss to Tottenham is understandable; losing to both Huddersfield and Brighton, teams the Toon finished ahead of in the Championship, is not. Yet at the same time Benitez and co. picked up a trio of wins against West Ham, Swansea and Stoke, showing that they can easily hang with the Premier League’s mid-table gang. If the right Reds turn up the Toon may be in trouble on Sunday, with Spreadex offering a Liverpool/Newcastle (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.75-0.95 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.85-3.05.
