After a typically dull international break the Premier League roars back into action this weekend! Saturday kicks-off with a doozy, as Liverpool host Everton at 12.30pm on Sky Sports 1. After a pretty damn poor start to 2017, March largely saw Liverpool get back on track, with convincing wins over Arsenal and Burnley joined by a hard fought 1-1 draw against Man City. Nonetheless they are in danger of slipping out of the top 4, sitting just 4 and 6 points above Man United and Arsenal respectively after playing 2 more games than their rivals. Everton, on the other hand, have fully recovered from their winter woes, winning 7 of their 10 league games since the New Year began. They also have the Premier League’s top scorer in Romelu Lukaku, the Belgian’s 21 goals leaving him with a Super Mega PGM of 27-32. That may not be enough for the Toffees to claim their first Anfield since the turn of the millennium, however, with Spreadex offering a Liveprool/Everton Goal Supremacy spread of 0.75-0.95 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.8-3. The New Forest derby follows at 5.30pm on BT Sport 1, with Bournemouth looking to leapfrog their south coast rivals. The Cherries failed to pick up a win in the first 2 months of the year, losing 5 out of 7 in the league while being dumped out of the FA Cup by Millwall. Yet Eddie Howe turned things around in March; the Cherries managed nab a draw at Old Trafford despite playing with 10 men for a whole half, before following that away point with home wins over West Ham and Swansea. Southampton have been similarly spotty in 2017, losing 5 league games and winning 3. They also suffered a harsh defeat in the EFL Cup final, and a 5-0 thumping at the hands of Arsenal in the FA Cup. The Saints should still have the edge over their visitors, with Spreadex offering a Southampton/Bournemouth Goal Supremacy spread of 0.85-1.05 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.8-3. Early Sunday afternoon then keeps things in the bottom half of the table as Middlesbrough try and boost their chances of staying up win over Swansea, at 1.30pm on BT Sport 1. Boro, currently without a permanent manger since sacking Aitor Karanka, are in 19th place on a mere 22 points but, crucially, with one less game played than Swansea, who are in 17th with 27 points. While a win in Wales wouldn’t lift Boro out of the relegation zone just yet, it would potentially provide the opportunity to overtake their opponents using their game in hand. It’s going to be tough, though, with Spreadex offering a Swansea/Middlesbrough Goal Supremacy spread of 0.5-0.7 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.35-2.55. Finally Arsenal will be desperate to keep their top 4 hopes alive when they host Man City at 4pm on Sky Sports 1. The Gunners are in their worst patch of Arsene Wenger’s career, with 1 win and 4 losses in their last 5 league games (not to mention the brutal 10-2 beatdown dished out by Bayern Munich in Europe). While City suffered their own Champions League embarrassment, losing on away goals to Monaco, their league form has been a lot better (though they have drawn their last 2 fixtures). Given how fragile the Gunners have been of late it is hard to see any result other than an away win, with Spreadex offering a Man City/Arsenal (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.15-0.35 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.95-3.15.
