Andrew turns his attention to the Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown where he has four recommended bets/trades across three races on Saturday, February 3rd.

LEOPARDSTOWN 1.20

Jessica Harrington and owner Gerry McGrath went desperately close to landing the 2018 running of this Grade 1 novices’ hurdle with Jetz (beaten by a head into second) and JETARA can set the record straight in the Dublin Racing Festival opener. The daughter of Walk In The Park impressed when successful in a Grade 3 mares’ race here just after Christmas and eight of the last ten winners of this 2m6f contest prepped on a left-handed track. The six-year-old stands out on RPRs (Racing Post Ratings) and she looks the value to upset the Willie Mullins-trained favourite PREDATORS GOLD. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back JETARA in Leopardstown 1.20

LEOPARDSTOWN 3.00

MOLLYS GLORY is going to be a huge price for this 3m Listed handicap hurdle but can be bought in the 50-30-20-10 market or supported each-way with Spreadex. Jumps progeny of Fame And Glory tend to improve with age and we could have backed the sire’s eight, nine and ten-year-olds (the sire’s oldest crop) blind and made good money thanks to 72 winners from 525 bets (13.7% strike-rate) for a profit of £136.96 to a £1 level stake at SP. MOLLYS GLORY could be a typical late-maturing example – she won just a Thurles bumper from her first 20 starts but doubled her tally in a 2m7f maiden hurdle at the same venue in November, despite jumping out to her left on the right-handed track. The nine-year-old ran with credit at this meeting last year when 11th of 22 over an inadequate 2m1.5f trip and she remains open to improvement over today’s distance.

Recommendation: Back MOLLYS GLORY in Leopardstown 3.00
