Andrew kicks off a new week with two recommended bets/trades at Hereford and Kempton on Monday, November 6th.

HEREFORD 3.20

SPORTING MIKE has been expensive to follow since opening his account under Rules at Southwell last November, tasting defeat in all six subsequent starts at odds of 11-4, 3-1, 100-30, 7-2, 11-1 and 16-1. The Ben Pauling yard remains relatively quiet, failing to score with their 16 runners who have started at odds shorter than 9-1 in the past fortnight and Sporting Mike, 4-1 with Spreadex at the time of writing ahead of his chase debut, can be sold  at 11 in the 50-25-10 market.

Recommendation: Oppose SPORTING MIKE in Hereford 3.20

KEMPTON 5.40

The front-runners went off too hard in the 7f Wolverhampton handicap won by Triggered on October 24th and the race was set up for the closers. The winner (‘midfield’), runner-up (‘slowly away, soon in rear’), third (‘towards rear on outer’), fifth (‘dwelt start, in rear on outer’) and sixth (‘slowly away, in rear’) all came from off the pace and fourth home Visibility (‘took keen hold, prominent on inner, went second over 2f out’) recorded a 9-1 success when returned to Wolverhampton the following week. The Ruth Carr-trained REPUTATION trailed home an 80-1 last of 12 that day after being rushed up on the outside to press the pace after three furlongs and it was no surprise to see him fade into last position. However, he had little chance given the pace scenario and could surprise at a big price today. Buy at 7 in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price (14-1).

Recommendation: Back REPUTATION in Kempton 5.40
