Andrew found 16-5 Wolverhampton winner DIOMED SPIRIT on Sunday and has two recommended bets/trades on Monday, January 8th.

TAUNTON 1.55

The Victor Dartnall-trained LHEBAYEB, a consistent performer on the Flat, hinted that there was better to come when a 28-1 sixth of 11 at Wincanton on her hurdles debut (1m7f, soft) and built on that with a 25-1 fourth over the same track and trip next time. Today’s slightly stiffer test of stamina will suit and her patient running style will be an asset if she’s switched wide for a run on what is usually the better ground. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back LHEBAYEB in Taunton 1.55

NEWCASTLE – RACECARD NUMBER 1s

ATRAFAN, number 1 on the racecard in the 6f classified stakes at Newcastle tonight (6.30) tends to come good at this time of year, recording form figures in January of 1111221216 (6-10) for a profit of £22.30 to a £1 level stake at SP. However, rather than simply back him individually I’m going to buy RACECARD NUMBER 1s with Spreadex, as there are plenty of others at the head of the racecard with solid chances. THE CHELTONIAN (7.00) was trading at around 6-4 at the time of writing in his bid to further enhance already impressive all-weather form figures of 112321 (3-6), DESERT RAIDER (5.30) is two from two in handicaps after a recent outing and lines up here after a four-day break, while GREENWICH (3.55) also heads the early betting in the 7f apprentice handicap. ISLE OF WOLVES (3.20) is 0-18 on the all-weather but often places and could pick up ten points in the opener.

Recommendation: Buy RACECARD NUMBER 1s at Newcastle
