Andrew successfully opposed ON SE CALME (7th, 5-1) on Tuesday and has two recommended bets/trades at Newcastle and Kempton on Wednesday, November 15th.

KEMPTON 3.37

SOUTHERN VOYAGE hasn’t shown a huge amount in three runs for Richard Fahey, finishing last of ten (12-1), ninth of 12 (25-1) and seventh of 11 (40-1), but those three runs came in Class 2 and 3 company and he looks very interesting now returned to Class 4 level in this 1m4f handicap. His record in this grade or lower for previous trainer Archie Watson was 4111 (3-4), with the sole defeat coming over an inadequate mile trip at Newmarket on his second career start. The latest of those three wins came over course and distance off a 1lb higher mark and he can be bought in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market.

Recommendation: Back SOUTHERN VOYAGE in Newcastle 3.37

NEWCASTLE 6.50

INVERLOCHY is going to be very popular in this 1m handicap on the back of her Chelmsford handicap win eight days ago but I’m prepared to take her on. Fillies have a modest recent record in all-weather handicaps (open to both sexes) when bidding to follow up a handicap win, landing 340 of their 1976 starts (17.2%) since the spring of 2016 for a loss of £492.48 to a £1 level stake at SP (minus 25% on turnover). The expected number of winners based on their prices was 367.41 (actual/expected score = 0.93). The three-year-old was always on the front end at Chelmsford and similar tactics are much harder to execute at today’s venue. Sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.

Recommendation: Oppose INVERLOCHY in Newcastle 6.50
