Andrew heads to the jumps meetings at Cheltenham and Bangor for his two bets/trades on Friday, December 15th.

CHELTENHAM 12.05

PADDY BRENNAN is adept at finding the quickest part of the hurdles track at Cheltenham, often staying wide, and he’s usually the jockey to have on your side at this meeting. Brennan has ridden just one winner from 36 mounts over fences at Cheltenham’s two-day December meeting but he’s nine from 49 over hurdles for a profit of £17.76 to a £1 level stake at SP, improving to six from 19 (+£32.95) over the 2m1f trip. DYSART ENOS, who goes in the 2m1f novices’ hurdle that gets the card underway (12.05), took her record under rules to 1111 (4-4) when hacking up at odds of 1-7 at Huntingdon last month and the daughter of Malinas is unlikely to be inconvenienced by the soft conditions. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back DYSART ENOS is Cheltenham 12.05

BANGOR 12.55

HORACIO APPLE’S could only finish a 14.5L fifth of six at Kelso on his chase/seasonal debut and again looked as though the race were needed when fifth of nine at Wetherby the following month, getting tired on the heavy ground and coming home just over six lengths behind the winner. The cut back from 3m to today’s 2m4.5f trip will suit and it’s interesting to note that he needed his first couple of runs last term before scoring over 2m5.5f at Ayr at the third time of asking. The six-year-old landed a handicap hurdle off a mark of 106 on his most recent visit to Bangor and is 1lb lower this afternoon. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back HORACIO APPLE’S in Bangor 12.55
