Andrew Mount's Racing Tips 17.05.23

Andrew made a good profit with his sell of BERT KIBBLER on Tuesday (8th, 3-1jf) and has two recommended bets/trades on Wednesday, May 17th. Follow his tips this week and all year round with the lowdown on his latest picks below:

YORK 3.35

The Gosden yard has an excellent record in the Musidora Stakes, taking this Group 3 contest six times in the last 12 years. This year, they look to Frankel filly SOUL SISTER to continue their fine run of form and she’s worth chancing at a big price (around 14-1 at the time of writing) to get her season back on track after trailing home last in the Fred Darling at Newbury. She can be forgiven that poor performance as she was kept to the near side where the ground was slowest and wasn’t given a hard time by Frankie Dettori. Today’s quicker underfoot conditions will suit and and she rates a buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.

Recommendation: Back SOUL SISTER in York 3.35

BATH 7.10

Adrian Wintle has two tracks within a 50-mile radius of his Gloucestershire base – Bath and Chepstow – and he has a good recent record at both. Since racing resumed after lockdown in June 2020, he’s 16 from 80 at Bath for a profit of £30.63 and eight from 56 at Chepstow (+£26.50). BLUE HERO takes the short trip down the M5 and has sound claims of enhancing his course record of 1134218 (3-7). His latest defeat was excusable, as he needed the run after a 106-day break. He should be spot on after that run and may be able to go one place better than his runner-up effort in this race last year. Back BLUE HERO in the Spreadex fixed odds betting or buy in the 50-25-10 market.

Recommendation: Back BLUE HERO in BATH 7.10
