Andrew made a good profit with is by of LE GEYT (3rd, 28-1) on Monday and has two recommended bets/trades on Tuesday, November 21st.
Alan King usually instructs his jockeys to take the shortest route from A to B which is far from ideal on certain tracks when the ground gets cut up on the inside rail. Last week at Lingfield, it was a huge advantage to race wide on the hurdles course which was the route taken by 125-1 winner Theyseekhimthere. Since 2015, TOM CANNON is just four from 61 in hurdle races at Lingfield (including 0-6 for Alan King) and the likelihood is that he’ll take the King-trained TOP KAO around the inner in this maiden hurdle. Selling the five-year-old in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market was going to be the recommendation but he’s drifted to a bigger than hope for price and siding with SEAN BOWEN in the LINGFIELD JOCKEYS market could be the angle. The current leader in the jockeys’ championship rides TINTAGEL QUEEN for Olly Murphy in this race and has several other solid chances on the day, notably odds-on favourite WOODIE FLASH (3.28) and SAO CARLOS (1.10), who w strafing at around 5-4 at the time of writing. Bowen is four from 14 at the Sussex venue when riding over hurdles on soft or heavy going (+£166.75 to a £1 level stake after last week’s shock winner) and it will be disappointing if he doesn’t add a least a couple of winners to that haul.
Recommendation: Buy SEAN BOWEN in LINGFIELD JOCKEYS
STATE LEGEND was put in as the morning favourite for this 2m5.5f handicap hurdle but the Ian Williams-trained four-year-old may have been flattered by his narrow 12-1 second at Huntingdon on his recent handicap debut. They went two-mile pace in that two-and-a-half-mile contest and the race was set up for the closers, with the first three home, priced at 9-1, 12-1 and 13-2, described by the Racing Post as ‘towards rear’, ‘held up in rear’ and ‘towards rear of midfield’. BERTIE WOOSTER is favourite in my tissue after his eyecatching comeback third over 1m7f on soft ground in a conditional jockeys’ handicap hurdle at Wincanton. He fared best of the prominent racers that day and will be far happier back up in trip and on better ground. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back BERTIE WOOSTER in Hereford 12.55
