Andrew Mount's Racing Tips 28.06.23

Andrew made a 13pt profit with his buy of RAVI ROAD on Tuesday and has two recommended bets/trades on Wednesday, June 28th.

CARLISLE 4.50

Ralph Beckett’s filly DANDY ALYS can be forgiven her run in the in the Surrey stakes at Epsom on her seasonal reappearance where she was keen from the outset, pulling her way to the front and doing too much too soon before fading in the final furlong to finish a well beaten seventh of nine. That run, her first for 243 days, was probably needed and she could be a different proposition this time. The daughter of Dandy Man looks the likeliest pace angle and if Rob Hornby can get her to settle a little better, she may prove difficult to catch. Back her each-way in the Spreadex fixed odds betting or buy in the 50-25-10 market.

Recommendation: Back DANDY ALYS in Carlisle 4.50

KEMPTON 8.20

GRAIGNES had wind surgery prior to his return to action at Kempton last time but, despite attracting plenty of market support (sent off as the 2-1 favourite), he failed to land the spoils, finishing fourth of nine to Junkanoo. He travelled well in the race but was found wanting in the closing stages and probably needed the run, his first since July. Most horses need their first run back after a wind operation to get used to being able to breathe comfortably at the business end of a race and those that disappoint are often underrated by the market next time – Graignes’ trainer George Baker is two from eight (+£13.00) with second-time wind-op recipients on the all-weather. He’s worth another chance this evening and the booking of top jockey William Buick looks significant. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back GRAIGNES in Kempton 8.20
