Andrew Mount's Racing Tips 30.08.23

Andrew heads to the Flat meetings at Kempton and Musselburgh for his two recommended bets/trades on Wednesday, August 29th.

MUSSELBURGH 3.30

Hat-trick seeker YORKINDNESS is likely to be popular in the betting for this 2m2f handicap but her last three wins have come at Pontefract and the return to this easier track is the obvious concern. Her only non-Pontefract win came at another stiff track (Hamilton) and Charlie Johnston’s four-year-old finished unplaced on her only previous visit to today’s venue. Sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.

Recommendation: Oppose YORKINDNESS in Musselburgh 3.30

KEMPTON 7.30

SMALLEYTIME won well at Salisbury on his latest outing, despite starting at 40-1, but he’s far from certain to back up that effort when he switches to the all-weather for this 7f novice contest. Progeny of his sire Tamayuz are just 57 from 652 on Polytrack (8.7%) for a loss of £240.99 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 69.53) and those who won on turf last time out were just one from 17. Sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market. KING OF FURY, best of those ridden patiently when a 20-1 third at Leicester on his recent debut, could be the best option for fixed odds player.

Recommendation: Oppose SMALLEYTIME in Kempton 7.30
