Andrew Mount's Tips 26.06.23

Andrew starts the new week with two  recommended bets/trades at Chepstow and Southwell on Monday, June 26th.

CHEPSTOW JOCKEYS

HOLLIE DOYLE has a fantastic book of rides at Chepstow today, commencing with KHANGAI (9-4 with Spreadex) in the 2.10. Mark Rimell’s three-year-old did well to finish third at 14-1 at Leicester last time, doing best of those to race up with the pace and is miles clear on last-time-out speed figures according to Proform’s figures. POSTERGAL (2.45) has a tough task on paper against odds-on favourite KARAKOY in the restricted novice contest but could pick up points for second or third, while ZING UP (3.15) took a big step forward when a close second at odds of 18-1 in a 5f handicap at Windsor last time and can go one better in the 3.15. Odds-on favourite AZAHARA PALACE is no penalty kick in the 3.45 but it will be disappointing if she doesn’t pick up at least 10pts for second. ATHENE’S KISS (4.15), CORAL REEF (4.50) and BERKSHIRE CRUZ (5.25) all have possibilities in the handicaps later on the card and she looks worth a buy at 59 in the Spreadex CHEPSTOW JOCKEYS market.

Recommendation: Buy HOLLIE DOYLE in Chepstow Jockeys

SOUTHWELL RACECARD No1s

Backing Laura Morgan-trained chasers returns a huge profit and she was two from three over the larger obstacles last week. FIRE AWAY, a winner here over hurdles in April and a solid 16-1 fourth over fences at Bangor last time, can get RACECARD No1 buyers off to a good start at SOUTHWELL today (Spreadex set the market at 41-44). THE CATHAL DON has possibilities on hie debut for a new yard in the 2.25, newcomer AMELIA MARIANNE is not without hope in the mares’ bumper according to the betting and ABSOLUTE RULER, 2-1 second favourite for the novices’ hurdler (3.30) will be hard to kick out of the frame. The first-time tongue-tie could help ADDOSH back to winning ways in the 4.00, while Fergal O’Brien’s ST PATRICKS BRIDGE has been nibbled at in the betting for the conditional jockeys’ handicap hurdle (5.00).

Recommendation: Buy RACECARD No1s at Southwell

Please note that the picks recommended in this blog post are based on past performance and should not be considered a guarantee for future winning outcomes, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
